What was your favorite age growing up?

"Five?" Emery called out when he found no trace of the boy. "Five where the hell did you go?" He wondered aloud, catching a glimpse of someone running out of the corner of his eye. It looked particularly alike to the certain crazy lass that Diego had picked up from his time in the nut house. He frowned as she disappeared from view in the time it took Emery to blink.

He stole another glance around to check for Five before following after the girl. Just because he couldn't see Five didn't mean he knew where the boy was probably going to and since he was following the same girl he claimed he would kill if he saw again, Emery bet his chances of finding Five were more than just slim.

"Lila?" Emery asked when he entered an absconded large storage room.

"Emery?" He heard the boys voice call back from within.

"Five?" Emery called back out, following the boy and the sound of running footsteps and grunts. His pace picked up until he reached the middle area of the establishment to find Lila and Five in pursuit of one another, exchanging blows and trying to win the upper hand.

He watched as Five landed a blow, watched Lila scamper off to regain her bearings and then watched her- disappear? There one moment and gone the next only to reappear behind Five instead of in front.

Fives eyebrows bore down in determined confusion much like Emery was and he picked up a bat, not once taking his eyes off her. He teleported and when he reappeared swinging the bat, it collided not with flesh, but with the stationary electric box just behind.

"Having trouble there Five?" Lila asked, offering a slight wave from behind.

Emery whirled to take in the girl standing there and leaning against one of the storage boxes as she waited for the fight to continue.

Emery sighed. "Don't make me get involved." He said, rolling up his sleeves.

"Oh darling, you're already involved." Lila said with a smirk.

Emery lunched forward in time with Lila who darted away around a tall pile of boxes but when he rounded the corner, she wasn't there anymore.

In the distance, he heard Five curse but Emery's eyes were too busy scanning the area to figure out where Lila might pop up next. He noted a spot of irregularly charged light and was running towards it before he could really put a name to it what he was doing.

He caught Lila with a chokehold when she resurfaced and watched as her eyes went wide for a moment before narrowing.

"You're good." She choked out.

"All right that's enough." Five said, jabbing her roughly in the stomach so she doubled over at which point Five put a foot to her throat so she couldn't get up.

"You're better than I thought." She wheezed from beneath his grip.

"And you are entirely average." Five said evenly, watching as Lila spluttered beneath him. "You can come out now." Five said without removing his gaze.

The sound of heels on concrete echoed through the building and Emery sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose as the Handler came into view. Younger now but ever still so smug.

"Speak of the devil and she shall arise from the depths of hell..." Emery muttered beneath his breath as she got closer.

"Well done." She said. "You figured it out."

"Well, it wasn't very hard." Five said. "She fights like every one of you Commission drones."

"Hmm. No matter, here we are. Together again. I've gotta ask... did you miss me, you little shits?"
