I sigh, looking at Kiara and JJ dancing. She looks so happy, I just wish she liked me. A tear rolls down my cheek, and I quickly wipe it away from some embarrassment. I walk into the mens bathroom to calm myself down, I approach the mirror. I wash my face with some cold water to calm me down. "Pope, you're okay, just breathe." I tell myself. You have to be happy for her, it's not her fault she doesn't like you. "You'll find someone, I promise.." I continue to tell myself as another tear rolls down my cheek. I wipe it away again, closing my eyes for a few seconds.
I suddenly hear footsteps behind me, making me quickly turn around. "Rafe" I say confronting him.
"Why the hell are you crying Pogue?!" he says as he steps closer to me. "It's none of your damn business!" I say throwing a punch to his face. Rafe pushes me to the ground, punching me. I roll over and begin beating him as much as I can. Suddenly two grown men run in, and pull each of us apart. I tear myself away from their grasps, running out of the bathroom and resort. "Pope, where are you going" my dad yells as I run from the resort.
All of the others see me running past them, and they all go after me.
I run to John B's van, and sit down, putting my back against it. The others soon catch up to me, they're all looking at me, worried. "Pope, what happened" John B asks me as he sits down next to me. "Rafe round 4" I reply as I heavily breathe from running. "Oh shit man," JJ continues "did you win?!" "JJ" Kiara says in a disappointed tone. "Well I guess, when the men pulled us apart I was on top" I replied to JJ, smiling about it. "Hell yeah, man, I'm so proud of you" JJ says grinning. We all laugh for a moment from the situation, and we sat there in silence for a moment. "Well, I say we get back to the Chateau, hangout there" Sarah says, interrupting the silence. Everyone nods in agreement.
"I'm gonna go get my bike" JJ says as he starts walking away. "I'll come with you," Kiara says as she starts walking too "Rafe could follow you, ya-know?" They both smile at each other. I sigh, getting up from the ground. "Alright lets hop in the van" John B says to Sarah and me. Us three get in the van, and start driving to the Chateau.
