Ever since then, Bethany never saw Angel again, whenever she would ask Aunty how she was, she would reply with a "she's trying" every time, so eventually........ She stopped asking; afraid of the real answer, but also afraid of the same reply.
Mrs Angel stopped working, saying that she needs to help take care of Angel, so she quit.
Bethany eventually got used to living without Angel.

A year later, Bethany's father got promoted at work and they had to move to the neighboring city to a 2 story building surrounded by other busy economical buildings, the house was upstairs while the shop was downstairs; he worked at a pamalat company, so the shop was filled with a variety of pamalat products.
Bethany would proceed to help out almost all the time; when she comes back from school she would take over, on the weekends she would be there all day. Her Dad; Royd noticed her daughter's hard work, so he even installed a TV and decoder to keep her entertained, and at the end of every day he would give her any amount or tell her to get something from the shop; be it milk, yogurt, or juice, all she had to do was pick.
By then, Bethany had forgotten about Angel, she would remember her from time to time.
Jennifer had noticed that Bethany became more introverted than normal, she doesn't invite any friends over, prefers to be alone, doesn't even bother making friends....... It's like there's a wall....... A boundary between her and everyone, it's like she doesn't want to get too close......To get Too attached to them, so that when she parts with them, she won't be too concerned.
'Damn, Angel sure left a mark on my daughter's life' Jennifer thinks
"At this rate, she'll become emotionlessly cold....Is there anything I can do?....." Jennifer says to herself
" Benjamin! "
" Yes"
" Get over here "
" You called? "
" Listen!, I want you to introduce Bethany to your circle of friends, I know that you sneak out of the house to play, I won't be refusing you guys to play anymore, as long as she's not studying or working all the time, she's had me worried. You can invite friends over or go to them but on the condition that you take your sister with you"
Ben lights up at that
