With eyes still glued to the floor, she asks herself
"She was the only one I felt that way for..... when I heard that she passed on, I couldn't even cry...... am I a monster?" Bethany relents trying to force tears out, but even then, she couldn't.....

3 years later, Bethany is older and more mature, she's discovered that she can't cry for people no matter how close she was with them and she can't get too close to them, she keeps Angel's Memories close to her, but she stopped resenting herself, Angel was meant to leave this place, she just happened to cross paths with her, and she's happy that she did, because in her mind, Angel awakened her to her sexuality: Pansexual.
she taught her how to love, she taught her what it's like to have desires and possessiveness.
Even though they couldn't be together in the end, atleast both their feelings were mutual and Bethany will always treasure that, in Bethany's opinion, no one could replace Angel as her first love and first friend. No matter what, Angel will always be her number one. But even so, she has a long life ahead, and she has to give chance to others, the fact that her and Angel separated just indicates that they weren't soulmates, so if there's someone out there, who can break Bethany's heart defense and social barriers, someone who can get her from her shell and have her love wholeheartedly, then she gladly welcomes them with open arms, until then.....she'll continue being who she is.

A/N: Thank you so much for reading, I know you might be upset with the sad ending, but it's just........there are too many happy endings nowadays.... not everything can be a happy ending, I wanted to write something unique, something relatable. Even though I know there are worse sad endings out there, I really like this one honestly, I want people to know that they shouldn't always believe that the first person they fall for is their soulmate, you have to look farther if you hope to find them.
