Thomas POV

"That can't be good." Arthit said as he glued himself on the wall.

"Hear something?" Kong asked.

"I hear chittering," Arthit replied as he put more magic on the shadow shield.

"It's not a snake. If you're thinking about Kobra's giant snake. Don't ever say it." Kong looked at Thomas worriedly.

"It wasn't dead, Kong. He survived the whole fight back in 2016."

"Why do our enemies get the good shit?" Thomas interjected. Everyone looked at him. "But I guess, giant snakes could, uh, be harder to kill. But can you guys..." Out of his curiosity, he needed to ask. "Just use dark magic. Like there are easier way to capture them."

"Son." said Arthit, tapping on Thomas's shoulder. "Definitely not the things we do around here. You know the rules. The magic council have constituted that we can't use dark magic. The consequences it has..."

Thomas cleared his throat, and admitted. "But what if it's urgent? Do you still have other choices?"

"I've been brought back by dark magic, Thomas." Kong  was the living proof of dark magic, it was no secret among the wizards and the supernatural world. "I was corrupted by its consequences."

"And what about the sun summoner?" Thomas brought it up. The four Ravika Heroes stopped in their tracks. The cold asperity of the wind blew on Thomas's face. Sending shudders i  n his skin.

"What did you say?"

"The sun summoner."

"He's a myth. He doesn't exist." This time, Tine spoke. He was frowning hard. "He is tasked to guard our world against realm threats. He is a prophecied being. One foretold by an ancient sun tribe. His magic is hotter than hell, stronger than the cosmos."

"And if he exist?" Thomas took two steps to reach Tine. He thought of Nan. Who had been subconsciously suppressing his power the entire time.  "What happens?"

"Then the wraiths will fear him. He's our hope."

"And oh boy, when will you ever learn?" A voice said. Everyone gazed upon the building and saw a figure sitting. His orange eyes glimmered. Chi. "That hope is fragile."

Ice POV

"Hi." Ice scooted over to make a room for Zero and he placed his head over his lap.

"Hey." Ice muttered. "How are you?"

"It was epic. What I did out there."

"Yeah, you were." Ice managed to smile despite the troubles that they've been through. There was something so exciting and scary at the same time.

"I'm glad you were there to witness how awesome I am."

Ice slapped Zero's shoulder and he moaned a little. He chuckled. "Sorry. Sorry. Does it hurt?"

"No. I'm fine." Zero beamed at him.

"Movie?" asked Zero. "Next Saturday?"

He searched for Ice's face but he hid the butterflies he was feeling and gave Zero a hesitation.  After a few seconds of reconsideration. His smile was like a beam of sunlight illuminating the dark.  Ice nodded. "Next Saturday."

Nan POV

Due to his demands, Nan and the rest of the gang were driving up the road that leads to the village. There were no lights on the way. There were only branches that looked like hands reaching out to you.
