THE REST OF robin's pregnancy consisted of lots of sleep, meals, and love from nancy. nancy's favorite thing to do was cuddle up next to robin, placing her hand on robin's stomach. it always brought a smile to both girl's faces.

nancy and robin had picked out names- with the "help" of steve, even though all of his suggestions were almost always an immediate no. they had narrowed it down to a few names. robin had picked out the name and middle name she was going to go with, but decided to wait until the baby was born to reveal it.

robin had thought about asking nancy to sign the birth certificate with her for ages, but she never found the right time to bring it up. she wanted to slowly dive into the topic, like putting your feet in the pool water before jumping in.

"shit!" robin exclaimed from the bathroom, catching nancy's attention. the two had been cuddling in robin's bedroom before robin announced she needed to pee.

"what?! what happened? are you okay??" nancy asked, instantly sitting straight up in bed.

"i think my water just broke," robin said, the words coming out of her mouth causing more stress to rise inside her.

"what?!" nancy half-exclaimed. she began running around the room, grabbing things for the hospital. she helped robin to the car and drove to the hospital.

the ride to the hospital felt like ages for both girls. robin was in pain the entire car trip, her contractions getting worse each time. nancy was stressed the entire ride, but she was also filled with excitement.

-

after getting robin set up in a room, nancy called steve to let him know the news. nancy sat next to robin's bed, watching her girlfriend.

"you're going to do great, okay?" nancy assured robin, giving it a small squeeze.

robin smiled back. "thank you, nance"

nancy nodded back and looked around the room. her eyes wandered from wall to wall to ceiling to floor to robin laying on the hospital bed.

"nance?" robin asked, breaking the silence.

"hm?" nancy replied, eyes fixed back on robin.

"i don't know if it's too soon to ask this....but i'm going to ask it anyway. would you like to be my kid's second mom?"

nancy couldn't help the huge smile that took over nancy's face. robin smiled back at her. the brunette had never been more excited as she is right now.

"i would love to, robin"

"thank you," robin smiled again.

nancy stayed beside robin's bed until the doctors came in. she stayed in the room while they prepped robin to give birth. she stayed with robin when she gave birth. she stayed with robin the whole night after.

robin had named her daughter sage harper buckley. the best moment of robin's life was holding sage for the first time. she couldn't believe that, at the beginning of her pregnancy, she was dreading having sage.

robin was suprisingly very excited to be a mom. she had been preparing for the moment sage came into the world. she cried when she first held her in her arms. nancy did too.

robin didn't look at sage as a reminder of that night. she looks at sage and sees her beautiful daughter, who definitely wasn't planned, but it was the best unplanned event that ever happened to her.

nancy has already fallen in love with sage. she loves holding the new baby, cradling her in her arms. nancy considered herself extremely lucky to have both sage and robin in her life.

steve flipped when the two girls brought sage home. he begged robin to let him hold her, to which she agreed. he went on about how cute she is and her "many features" that "strongly remind himl" of robin.

nine months ago, robin had wanted to crawl into a hole and never come out. she wanted to take her own life. but now, she was ready to announce that she was finally happy again. she knew that with the help of steve and nancy, she'll be able to give sage the best life a girl could have.

and she knew that she had finally found her true love, someone that was none other than nancy wheeler. her helping hand.

END.
