Alicia P.O.V
I woke up disoriented and groggy but everything quickly came into focus when I realized I was lying in a unfamiliar bed in a unfamiliar room. The bed was quite large and the black blanket that covered me were incredibly soft. The walls of the room were covered in a boring beige and beside a black dresser and night stand there wasn't much else in the room.
Pushing the covers off I wincing a rubbed my sore neck frowning. Suddenly it all came back to me. The alarm going off, the men, the running, Alyssa. Oh god Alyssa.
Where was Hunter? He must have left me in here. I quickly rolled off the bed and went for the door. Walking into a long hall way I took a guess and turned right passing a couple doors I went by.
I wanted to call out for my mate but was afraid we weren't alone where ever we were.
Nervously twisting my hair in my fingers I edged forward until I entered what appeared to be a living room.
I froze shocked and frightened as I spotted two very large mean looking males sitting on opposites couches cleaning what appeared to be guns. They were both very serious looking and seemed to be consumed with their task but as I moved to run back into the hall way one of them looked right up at me telling me he hadn't been as focused as he appeared.
He stared at me with a deep scowl before his eyes seemed to lower to my extended belly. Fear squeezed my lungs and I instinctively wrapped my arms around myself taking a step back.
By now his friend had looked up to see what was going on and he didn't look any friendlier.
They looked angry and confused and I suddenly wished Hunter hadn't left me alone.
"Who are you? How did you get into here?" The one who spotted me first snapped nearing making me wet myself. I jerked startled at how harsh and sharp his tone was and only manged to let out a small squeak unable to form words.
"I asked you a question!" He snapped in the same nonsense tone.
When I couldn't mange anything past my trembling lips the second man pull a hand gun from his waist band and pointed it at me and I paled suddenly feeling faint.
Would he honestly shot a pregnant woman? A small one at that?
Yes. I was suddenly very sure that if he perceived me as threat he'd shot me right between the eyes.
Finally I manged to get something past my lips. "Hunter." It came out in a weak whimper but they heard me.
Their frowns deepened before the first male slowly lowered his gun.
"What's your name?"
I glanced nervously back to the hallway wondering if I could make it back to the room before he could get across the room but he snapped at me asking the same question and I answered without thinking.
"Alicia."
As soon as my name passed my lips both of their demeanor's instantly changed. Their defensive stances melted away as did their angry scowls. The first male instantly put his gun away and lifted his hands as if to show me he meant no harm.
"Your Hunter's girl right? His mate?"
I quickly nodded tightening my arms around my stomach. Where was Hunter?
As if he could read my mind he gave me a small smile that barely even curled his lips. "Hunter left about an hour ago. He didn't mention that he'd brought you here I guess he expected you to sleep longer. Do you know where you are?"
