*** "How are we going to break the announcement to them? What's the plan?"
It's been almost a year now since you and Amy made your relationship official, keeping it private from everyone, even those you know and love.
As you make your way to watch yet, another band rehearsal. You were never part of the band, and didn't share any musical talent in anyway, you just happened to be Amy's best friend since childhood. There was a bond building between you both, long before Evanescence had come to existence. Amy was always described by you, among others, as very musical as she comes with a great passion for it and looked to the future in hopes of finding herself with a music career as well as you still being there in her life. You weren't so sure on what the plan was on revealing the relationship to the band, so you relied on Amy on that part, hoping she knew how it was going to be played out once announced. One thing that you both had always made sure on what to do whenever going to one of these things together was to make sure you don't walk in holding hands as you would everywhere else.
Though you were successful at it, you weren't so fortunate on some other things that occurred to rise suspicions from the band. Each time there was a dinner or a party of some sort, you would act as any couple would without realizing it. If it were taking place in a restaurant, you would try to beat each other to the payment of your meals. But if you were attending a party, you never left each other's side and often looked at one another in the same way a couple would do. So it was fair to say that everyone had started getting ideas about the two of you long before it becomes out in the open. The open as in the band, you agreed to start coming out in baby steps and breaking the news to the band before fans was the start of it.
Of course, you were nervous and Amy was nervous. But the truth was, you were more nervous then Amy was, as you were making it too obvious then you probably should. Your eyes flickered between the two of you and once you had approached everyone, your eyes had made it like you were on the hunt for prey to feed upon. Will Hunt was the first to speak up, pointing it out as he asked about what was going on.
"Hey guys, what's up?"
The response you were giving was fixing a stare down at your feet as you felt your cheeks flush pink at the same time.
You were being very shy, so Amy decided it was up to her to take over. Which she did, but in a way that you would preferred to have been differently. While you still paying no mind to them, your racing thoughts and rapid heartbeat paused as Amy took a hold of your shoulders before leaning full on you with a passionate first time seen kiss. When pulled away, silent is what remains until a commotion of talk about what had just occurred releases the silence at the same time.
"I knew it!" Will says victoriously, earning a playful punch to the shoulder by fellow band mate, Tim Mccord.
"I knew it first, remember?"
That battle continues before someone had to eventually come and break it up.
Much to your relief, the comments from everyone was nothing but positive. Not a single negative comment was heard, but you know that they could be easily just thinking it, keeping to themselves.
You felt enormous constant support from the group.
