There was nothing else for you to do other then gently but firmly fall to your knees while covering your face with your hands as you the door of your shared bedroom slam shut.

What happened was that you and Amy had gotten into a full blown argument the second she walked through the door. Her attitude and body language was abundant enough to you to understand her day has not gone so well. The thing is, you would give her some space before trying to embrace her but you thought that a hug from you would help cheer her up.

You were just to be proven wrong, having that being the wrong move. As you approached your girlfriend, you made sure to have that loving smile on your face as you had come to greet her. You watch as she kicks off her shoes before she turns to you, and noticing you there, earned you an angry look in return. It made your heart skip a beat in sadness, but you were still willing to try so you begin to open your arms up and walk up to her. But that only lead Amy to push you out of the way and keep going as if you're non existent. It hurt but you weren't ready to give up just yet and followed behind her, another mistake you would soon learn of, not ending well at all. Amy headed towards the kitchen as you continue to follow, and when she stopped, you tried the second attempt for a loving hug.

But it resulted in the same way, only for this time, harsh words were said and you honestly didn't know if it was more shocking then upsetting to you when she says them. They've been told to you in previous relationships, but you thought Amy was different and would never use words against you.

You stumbled back as Amy roughly shoves you off of her and speaks words of anger through gritted teeth.

"Oh my god, (Y/n)! Can't you give me some space? I've had a bad day and I don't need this right now."

"I was just giving you a hug!" You cry out, only to be gutted again.

"Well, you're clingy enough already. That's something I don't need and sometimes it's annoying."

"That's not very nice." You say quietly, surprised Amy even heard that.

"Yeah?"

Amy turns back towards you, the look she was giving you was not only a look of anger, but a killer look.

"Well, it's true. In fact, you can sleep in the guest bedroom tonight. I don't need you clinging to me all night long."

Three years together and this was the first time this side of your girlfriend had come out on you and hurt deeply. You were trying to fight back tears as she continued to look at you, with no signs of remorse.

"What? You gonna cry now? Feel free to."

With that, you watch as she makes her way to the bedroom, slamming the door loudly that it made you jump in fright.

This is exactly as she had left you, kneeling on the floor with your hands covering your face as you let the tears fall down your cheeks. It was hard to tell how long it's been since Amy stormed off, but it felt like forever before deciding to pull yourself up and head over to the guest bedroom. You hated sleeping alone, the worst part of this was that there was a rain storm on the way and storms made you very uncomfortable and you don't settle well with the rough ones. Amy knew this and would usually have you snuggle up to her, but you couldn't do that tonight and decided to sleep through it.

After climbing into bed, you had managed to get a few hours when you were suddenly woken up by a loud clap of thunder that you swore made the house rumble just a little bit. Now you were really scared, and yet, you refused to seek Amy to comfort you through this. After thinking about it, you decided that the next best thing would be to wrap yourself in the blanket and take it to the corner close to your closet, humming your favorite song to try and settle your nerves. That obviously didn't work and you grew more nervous after each clap of thunder.

Just as you had made up your mind to go get Amy, you jump when the door quickly swung open as Amy steps in, looking for you. You don't say anything, but the rustling of your blanket is what helped her to find you. You weren't in bed, but in a corner trying to sleep that way. Thought it was dark, you could still see clearly in your mind the expression on her face of concern for you.

"(Y/n)?" She called out, to which you reply.

"Yes?"

"There you are. Are you okay?"

"Just can't sleep because of the storm. To be honest, it's getting to where it's really starting to scare me and I'm trying to hide from it."

Amy approached you and stuck out her hand for you to take.

"Follow me, we'll go back to our room and ride out the storm in our sleep. It looks as it may be getting even more rough."

Not wanting to ask about what the deal was earlier, you nod and accepted her hand as she pulls you up.

Amy leads the way and you happily follow behind. Once you make it, you lay side by side as she pulls you close to her as she could get you, not wanting to let go. As you were finally dozing off in her arms, you feel the light touch of her lips pressing on your forehead before saying, "I love you, (Y/n). So much, you don't even know."

"I love you, Amy. I love you more then you can possibly imagine."

With that, you both fell asleep holding each other and rode out the storm.

Not waking until the next morning.
