*** Everyone knows their risking their own necks if they choose to hitchhike on the side of the road to make their destination.
The reason you're choosing to do so is because you didn't have the right amount of money or your own vehicle transportation to take yourself where you're wanting to go. Where you were going was a couple states away from your home and the reason for it was because you spent your money on concert tickets. Evanescence had been your favorite band since you were about seven years old, and you had a massive crush on the singer, Amy Lee.
After purchasing the tickets for your first Evanescence concert, you thought of the many ways on how you can get yourself there without having to give up with what little spending money you had left in your pocket. Eventually, you decided hitchhiking was your best bet and with their concert taking place in just a couple of weeks, you thought that if you started at the end of the month before the concert, you would get there either the day before or the day of. It was summertime and for whatever reason, you thought that if there was ever a time you would risk something like this, you believed you wouldn't be into heavy trouble with your parents. Though eighteen years old now and legally an adult, you still lived under your parent's roof and had to always abide by their rules, no matter at what age. After sneaking out of your bedroom window with a backpack and your skateboard, you begin your journey.
Having headphones in your ears, you were listening to your favorite album from Evanescence. When you got tired of riding your skateboard, that was when you started asking for rides to anyone who was kind enough to stop taking notice of you being tired and burned out of energy. You got to your location at the time of what you had predicted, the day before the concert. While you weren't paying any mind to the road you were walking alongside on, that prevented you from noticing a black limousine slowly approaching you from behind. When you did notice it, it was from someone calling out to you, the driver was calling out, asking if you needed a ride somewhere.
Of course, you had accepted as you had done so the last few weeks. When get closer, the driver climbs out carefully to open the door for you to get in the backseat. When he opens the door, you get the surprise of your lifetime after seeing the other passengers occupying the backseat. It wouldn't be just anyone's guess to who you were about to join on the road with, it seemed to be just pure luck.
Evanescence stare right back at you as you did them before finally having something to say.
"You need a ride?" Will Hunt asks you, as you nod in response.
"Hop in!" Tim McCord invites.
Accepting the kind gesture, you slide in while taking the empty spot next to Amy Lee. The first few minutes remained silent, before the question of where you're wanting to go rises.
"Where you headed?" Amy asks.
"Oh, um Minneapolis."
"Hey, that's our next stop! We can take you the rest of the way if you want!" Amy offers.
"I would greatly appreciate that! You guys are a lifesaver!"
After chatting with these guys for a while, you look over a couple of times and caught Amy staring at you.
When she realizes you had noticed, she quickly starts on a new topic of conversation.
"So, (Y/n)... what takes you to Minneapolis?"
"Well, I'm handling concert tickets in my passions I intend on using tonight."
"Us?" Will asks.
"You got that right!"
At that point, the limo soon stops as it parks alongside of the road, indicating you have made your arrival.
This trip was definitely the experience of a lifetime that only the lucky ones get the chance to take on the opportunity.
