I am standing in front of my worst enemy, a man I despised since the beginning, and I cannot help but wonder what led me here. I am not a brave soul, but here I am taking my stand against this man. The man that ruined my life but subsequently also enabled me to find the love of my life. Without his existence I wouldn't have met the people I would consider my real family. Should I have been the bigger person and forgive and forget? No. Being the bigger person doesn't mean you have to forgive. I clutch my necklace in my hand. I will never forgive him for what he did to me. I don't have time to think right now. We are about to fight and if I waver for a single moment I will die. The thrill I feel is unbearable and I have shivers going down my spine. Slowly my anxiety and fears are taking over me, bringing me to a breaking point. I felt a hand touch my shoulder and I looked back to see a reassuring nod. That one reassuring nod brought me back and I was as ready as I'd ever be. I screamed something resembling a battle cry and advanced towards my enemy. The others soon followed suit and together we rode into battle.
