I felt something nudge my shoulder and I mumbled in my groggy morning voice:

"Amethyst?"

No reaction. I slightly open my eyes and notice a man standing there. He has red hair and green eyes, just like my father. Wait. O my lord it can't be right? Has my father found me? I sprung up from my bed and fell to the ground.

"Get away from me! I am not going back!"

"I am not your father, calm down. Come, look at me."

The voice I heard wasn't one I recognised. Slowly I opened my eyes again and looked at this man. Clearly this time. He did look very similar to my father, but he wasn't the same. His eyes looked kinder and more sympathetic.

"Who are you?"

"Felix. Felix Ashworth."

"Ashworth? Are you family?"

"Mason is my brother, unfortunately."

"So that makes you my uncle."

"I guess it does."

"Why did you wake me up?"

"Right, I came here to train you."

"Train?"

"Yes, we demons have the natural ability to disguise ourselves. I can teach you how to disguise your real form and look like an ordinary human."

"Really? I saw my father do it to me once, but I never figured I could do it as well."

"You have demon blood in you. I am quite certain you can do it."

"Alright, teach me."

Felix led me outside where he had set up a full-length mirror. The garden was very beautiful, there was a pond with koi fish in it and a small bridge that crossed it. The bridge had copper railing that had turned green overtime and now blended in with the environment. On the other side of the pond stood a weeping willow, tall and majestic. It would be the perfect tree to read a book under or have a nice picnic. On the side of the cabin was a little vegetable garden as well as a little patch for flowers. There were a lot of different flowers, all very vibrant. Felix ushered me to stand in front of the mirror.

"Alright, I want you to really look at yourself. Try to picture in your mind how you want to look and try to focus on specific things like hair colour or skin tone."

"Alright."

"Tell me what you are thinking."

"Um, I am thinking black wavy hair? Pale skin tone and maybe some freckles?"

"Good job. I will first show you how you just imagined yourself and after that you could use that exact image to try it yourself."

I felt the same feeling as when my father disguised me. That change in the flow of the air and the tingling feeling coursing through my body. I saw in the mirror how my appearance changed. My snow-white hair turned a raven black and got some waves to it. My skin got a warmer colour and freckles appeared all over my face. Lastly my wings disappeared. One thing was for sure and that is that I didn't recognise myself like this. Maybe it would make it harder for my father to find me. If he is even looking for me. The disguise disappeared again.

"Alright, now it's your turn. Try to remember what you just saw and try to recreate it."

I focused on the mirror and tried to bring back the image I saw before. I felt a slight tingling and grabbed onto that feeling. At last, I saw my reflection change back to the image I saw before.

"Wow, good job. I didn't expect you to pull it off on the first try. You could be exceptionally powerful with the right training."

"You think so? Will you teach me how to fight?"
