Two weeks went by uneventful. Soon the exams were around the corner. Everyone busied themselves with studies. They would soon be graduating from school.

Now that Shriya knew what kind of world she was living in, she was more relaxed. All she had to do was to lead a safe and peaceful life. For that it would be necessary to steer clear of the villians.

In the movie they were extremely powerful and only the male lead could face them. To be on the safe side it was better to stay away from the male lead too since he would have a lot of encounters with the villians.

Shriya had no anxiety regarding the future because after the school days she wouldn't have to face the male lead. He will be joining the army soon.

It will take him five to six years to come back. By then he would have forgotten about her existence. He would then meet the female lead and would live happily ever after.

For Shriya this was a god given second chance. She was not happy being a corporate employee in her previous life. In this life she wished to pursue medicine.

She started preparing to get into a good Medical College. Even her friends, Chithra and Disha were supportive of her decision.

These days she saw less of Rishi because regular classes had come to an end. Most of their classes were for revision purposes and not many attanded them.

Shriya too preferred to study alone. She also attended the combine study in Chithra's room with her roommate and Disha.

Soon exams started. The first day of their maths examination Shriya was at the corridor looking through the notice board to find her seating arrangements.

She found her room to be at the top floor. Having found her classroom and seat number she settled down. She observed her surroundings and realised that they were to have their seats shared with the juniors.

She found some familiar faces among them. None of her friends were in the same room. They had agreed to meet each other after the test on the school ground.

Soon the bell rang and the invigilator entered the exam hall. Shriya felt relieved once she received the question paper.

As promised Shriya met her friends in the school ground. "I feel bad for Rana. He shouldn't have tried to copy when the teacher was still in the room." Disha was talking to Chithra, when she came towards them.

"What happened to Rana," Shriya asked. "He was caught trying to cheat. I hope he doesn't get debared." Chithra said looking at her.

"Wasn't the paper easy," Disha intervened to ask her. Shriya held her thumb up to show that she had aced it.
They walked back to the hostel chatting among themselves on different gossips that they managed to capture from the exam hall.

But Shriya had nothing to contribute because her seat was in the front. Another reason was that she wrote her exam diligently as a good student. Disha and Chithra were good in studies but they had great interest in newest gossips and news that occured in school. So even in exam halls they had a keen eye to pick up scandalous matters.

Soon the final exams in their school years had come to an end. Final year students gathered in the  school for one last time to spend time with their classmates. It was more like a farewell party that they organized with their teachers help.

Shriya too had a great time among her friends. Rishi was with Jay and their mutual friends. But from time to time his eyes would wander around to find that one person he would miss the most. His sneaky behaviour was not missed by Jay. He thought to himself, 'finally I got a chance to make him admit his feelings.'

But before he could find a chance to finally make fun of his oversmart friend, Rishi outwitted him once again. He had been keeping an eye on Rishi all this time but when he was asked to help bring in the food for the party he lost sight of him.
Once he came back he found both Shriya and Rishi to be missing.

He felt unwilling to let go of such a good opportunity. So he inquired about them from his friends. He learned that Shriya had excused to leave for the washroom and Rishi had suddenly gone missing.

Jay was sure Rishi had gone after Shriya. He quickly went out of the class to catch his friend in action. He saw both of them facing each other on a deserted corridor in the school. It was deserted because construction was going on in that area.
One had to cross the corridor to reach the girls washroom.

Shriya didn't expect to be stopped by Rishi on her way back to the classroom. He had claimed that he had to tell her something alone. He asked her to follow him into an empty classroom. She went along curious at what he had to say.

It was dark inside the classroom but she managed to see from the light coming from the only window that wasn't sealed. Rishi went towards a bag that was lying on the teachers' table.

Rishi fished out a rectangular box from it. He looked back to see Shriya standing at a considerable distance away. He walked towards her and handed the box to her. Shriya was confused at his behaviour,"why are you giving it to me." She asked him.

He stood there holding out the box to her in one hand and his other hand tucked inside his pant pockets. For the first time Shriya felt her heart skip a beat at his handsome profile. He looked determined not to talk until she had accepted his gift.

Shriya hesitantly took the box from him. "What's inside this?" She questioned again. "Something very valuable to me. I hope you will take care of it until I come back." He said both his hands tucked inside the pockets.

"Why give it to me then. What if we never meet in the future?" She asked him unable to hide her curiosity. "I will explain when I come back to retrieve it. Till then wait for me." He said in a serious tone which made Shriya dismiss the idea of him jocking with her.

But what bewildered her was that even though he looked serious and confident, his tone also held a note of pleading. Because of which she couldn't bear to scold him for making her confused. It was a known fact in the school that he had been that one lucky student to be selected to be in the army.

But from watching the movie Shriya was aware of the plot. There was neither Shriya nor this precious box in the movie. This unexpected event made her unable to guess his intentions. But since she was weak against his aggrieved appearance she promised to take care of the box until he came looking for it.
