Jay couldn't go inside the classroom. But he remained outside and peeped inside. He couldn't hear what the two of them were talking about. But he saw the scene of Rishi gifting Shriya.

He couldn't make out whether it was a confession or a farewell gift. But the atmosphere between them did not resemble that of a confession. Jay ran back to the classroom when he saw Rishi and Shriya coming out.

Shriya went back to the classroom and placed the box inside her bag. Fortunately her friends hadn't realised she was back. If they saw the box she didn't know how to explain. She herself was confused. He asked her to wait for him to get it back. She thought she could atleast do this much for him.

Leaving a favourable impression on this world's male lead did not sound bad either. But she didn't want to continue this friendship even if he came looking for her. Because she was scared of drawing attention to herself, what if the villains notice her. Since she was just an extra wouldn't it be easy for them to kill her even accidentally.

She shuddered at the ominous thoughts that coursed through her mind. "Shriya, come here." Disha said waving at her. Shriya decided to not think of this matter for now and went back to her friends circle.

Jay looked at Rishi who had just come in after his encounter with Shriya. Jay decided to tease him because this chance was never going to come again. When he saw Rishi walking towards the food counter to get a drink Jay decided to grab this chance and walked to him.

"Bro, are you hiding something from me." Jay began in an all knowing confident manner while placing his arms on Rishi's shoulder. Rishi raised his brow at Jay's question. "What?" He asked him back.

"I saw you both." Jay stated with a teasing smile as if he understood what was going on between them. Contrary to Jay's expectations Rishi did not panic or became nervous. Instead he smirked at his friend, "you are right, I have a crush on her." Jay was stunned to his spot. He did not expect Rishi to confess just like that.

For the first time he was stumped by Rishi. Usually it was always the other way round. Jay finally understood one thing about his friend, that is he should not be messed with.

Their last day together as a class soon came to an end. They would not meet most of them after this. Everyone were busy choosing their major. Rishi was the first to have his future secured as he got into the army.

Shriya was busy preparing to get into a medical school. She forgot all about the box Rishi had given her to safeguard. Chithra and Disha too were busy with their preparations to get into colleges of their choice. So the three saw each other only during the meal times.

Soon a good news came to them which also made them sad. Disha got adopted by a family. Disha cried that day hugging both her friends. She left only after exerting the promise of keeping in touch with each other in the future.

After Disha left, Shriya and Chithra were sad for a long time. Since they did not have phones yet they kept in touch with Disha through their mail IDs. But they could not afford to be sad for long, they had studies to catch up with to get into their dream colleges.

Six months were over in a blink of the eye. Chithra moved to Chennai to pursue her studies while Shriya stayed in Mumbai where she got admitted to a best medical college. She was excited to begin a new chapter in her life.

Shriya did not miss the orphanage she stayed in but felt a pang in her heart whenever she thought of her two friends. She missed them badly, even though Disha was in the same city as her, they were still separated by towns.

Chithra chose to pursue buisness while Disha opted for arts. The three chose different paths in their life. Thus making it difficult for them to be together all the time. They kept in touch with the phones each brought with their savings.

Shriya didn't expect to be lucky enough to get a scholarship. Now she didn't have to worry about her expenses but she still chose to continue her part time during every vacations. This became one of the reasons why the three couldn't have a get together until the end of their college years. Excluding Disha the other two had to fend for themselves by working as the orphanage refused to cover their expenses except for their accomodation.
