The Sneaky Cat-Burglar Nami

Chapter 3

Chapter 3:

The next morning, as the sun's ray's slowly crept into Nami and Robin's shared quarter's, Nami slowly stirred awake. With a yawn, she sat up and stretched her arms up. Until a realization hit her.

"I'm on my bed?" she thought.

"Ah, good morning, Nami." said Robin, as she combed her long raven hair in front of their dresser. A mischievous glint in her eyes. "Looks like you had an eventful night's watch?"

"Huh?" Nami replied, confused. "What do you mean?"

"Ah, you must not remember since you were sleeping. Our Captain came in here last night, and carried you to bed." Robin said, as if it was the most normal thing in the world

"Ehhhhh~?" Nami said, surprised "Wait a minute, I fell asleep? I remember sitting down beside Luffy last night on Sunny's head but I must have accidentally dozed off" she thought, mentally smacking herself in the head.

"I must say, Nami" Robin said, breaking Nami's thoughts "I don't think it's one-sided"

"Huh?" Nami said, as she lifted her head up to stare at her room mate.

Robin only replied with a grin.

"What do you- "

"Now, you better wash up. I heard Sanji yell that breakfast is ready." Robin cut her off, as she stepped out of the room, headed for the kitchen.

"O-Oi, Robin, wait up" said a confused Nami, as she stumbled to gather her bearings. She'll ask Robin again about it later, she noted to herself.

As Robin walked towards the kitchen, she replayed the scene she encountered the night before.

*** Flashback ***

Robin woke up as she heard the door to their quarter's open. She turned her head, expecting to see Nami and to greet her a good night but was surprised to see their Captain, quietly tiptoeing towards Nami's bed. But what was more surprising was that in their Captain's arms was a sleeping Nami.

Robin watched as Luffy laid down a sleeping Nami down gently on her bed. Robin expected him to leave as soon as he laid Nami down, but did not expect what she saw next.

Luffy sat on the edge of Nami's bed, and for a minute he just sat there just staring at her, a soft smile on his lips. Then he raised his hand towards Nami's face and gently tucked a strand of hair behind Nami's ear. His hand lingered on Nami's cheek as he moved away. "Good night, Nami" he whispered.

As he turned to stand up from Nami's bed, he noticed Robin staring. He motioned a finger to his lips, as if signaling to Robin to keep quiet as he let out a soft "Shishishi~". He waved a quick goodbye to Robin as he stepped out of the room, and closed the door gently behind him.

*** End of Flashback ***

"Things are about to get more interesting on this ship, it seems" Robin thought to herself, proud of the new found knowledge she had gathered.
