Unheard Voice: Imagine 11 (Sadie Sink)

The sun beamed into my room heating up my face. I was tidying up my room because it was a mess and Sadie was coming round later. It started to get tiring and i needed a boost of energy so i decided to connect my phone to a speaker and put my 'summer' playlist on shuffle. I hummed away song after song, still cleaning my room.

Time flew by a little too quick.

SADIES POV:

I was a little bit early but I pulled up to y/n's house and heard a muffled noise coming from her bedroom. Her windows were open which didn't surprise me as it was a hot day.

I let myself in as y/n had gave me a spare key. I took my shoes off and hung my jacket on the rack along with y/n's. Eventually I made my way up the stairs and towards y/n's room. Her door was wide open and she had Love The Way You Lie - Eminem, Rihanna playing.

I leaned against the door frame of her bedroom, y/n didn't notice me though because the music was too loud. I had never heard her sing before because she always said her voice was "terrible". What I was listening to proved her wrong.

Just gonna stand there

Why hadn't she sang before? Her voice was soft.  It was my new favourite sound.

After the chorus Eminem's verse then came, to my surprise y/n could rap as well. She was literally perfect.

Y/N POV:

As I continued to clean my room, one of my favourite songs came on. Love The Way You Lie - Eminem, Rihanna. I flowed quickly through the song. Rushing around my room to finish the last bits of cleaning.

I went back towards my phone that was on the window ledge and turned the speaker off awaiting Sadie's arrival. I checked the time realising that it was 6:30 and she should already be here. I picked my phone up and just as I was about to call her, I heard a clearing of a throat.

SADIE'S POV:

The song came to an end, I didn't want it to. Y/n voice was angelic. I watched as my astonishing girlfriend walked over to her phone and turn off the speaker. I noticed that she checked the time and realised that I was supposed to be there. To her surprise I was, she just hadn't noticed.

I clear my throat for her to notice my presence. She turned around with a look of shock and happiness.
"Hey" I smirked.
"H- how long have you been standing there?"
Y/n asked, hoping i didn't see her singing her heart out.
I checked my imaginary watch.
"About 5-10 minutes"
I stated and watched as y/n's face turned the colour of my hair. Y/n sat on her bed hanging her head in embarrassment. My grin faded away. I slouched next to her, my hand rubbing her back.
"Your voice is angelic, there's nothing to be embarrassed about. I think it might even be my new favourite sound!" I smiled and instantly felt y/n's arms wrapping around me tightly. I pressed a kiss against her cheek.

Y/N'S POV:

I pulled away from Sadie's embrace even though I could sit there forever.
"You okay?"
Sadie questioned me, breaking the long lasting silence.
I looked back at her.
"I am now"
i softly smiled, it was a small lie as I'm still embarrassed but Sadie had reassured me.

Just gonna Stand there
And watch me burn?

Sadie began to sing the chorus of the previous song again.
"Cmon y/n, let's do a duet. You be Eminem,I'll be Rihanna"
Sadie stood from the bed and reached her hand out for me to hold. Hesitantly, I put my hand in hers, she dragged me up and she continued from where she left off.

As Sadie finished her verse she nodded at me to encourage me for my part. I was a little unsure at first but as I became comfortable me and Sadie danced and sang the night away.

I can't tell you what it really is

And right now, there's a steel knife
In my windpipe

TIME JUMP

As the night came to an end, it felt like me and Sadie had been brought so much closer. I loved it how, now we could duet without me getting embarrassed.

"Thank you"

"What for?"
Sadie asked as she continued to dance.

"For helping me finally accept my voice, I hated it before you-"

"Don't worry about it. That's what girlfriends are for right?"
The redhead kissed me, making me release a breath that I didn't know I was holding.

Exhaustedly, we laid on the bed. Sadie led her head down onto my chest and i played with her soft, fiery hair. Soon after I could hear deep breathing coming from her, she was asleep. After all the dancing and singing we had done,I wouldn't blame her. Soon after my eyes became heavy too.

"I love you Sades"
I whispered, with my eyes still closed. But as expected there was no reply.
