She was sitting on a chair, in a room with no one else than her. And it didn't bother her, because she got used to be alone. While everyone pushed her out of their lives, she felt like it's the end of her, but it wasn't. And now, it's like being back in high school, with no friends around her. Maybe except her older siblings, that had never judged her for who she is and why she is like that. But she just couldn't trust anyone. Anyone, except one person. But she is not with her and that's why she is right here.
" We can start whenever you want, Amy."
" And what am I supposed to say ?"Amy spat.
She wanted to leave right now, but since she signed here, had the guts to ask for help and come here, she couldn't leave. But also, she spent half of what she earns per month for this meeting, so she definitely couldn't leave. But thanks to her great parents, that finally started from the bottom, stopped leaving and pretending, that everything is alright, they are now on top. Both has job and the rest of her sibling, but Amy has never changed. Except, Stephanie didn't mind her for not changing, because that's why she chose to befriend with Amy. Because she was just herself.
" If it's okay, we can start from the beginning."
" The beginning?"Amy wrinkled her forehead.
Both were nodding their heads. But Amy wasn't smiling like the woman across her. She wasn't smiling for such a long time, because of what had happened a month ago. It ruined her inside, made a lot of damage in her person. And she can't blame Stephanie, she couldn't blame anyone of what happened.
But who to blame, if not ourselves, Amy once thought.
She lifted her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them.
" It was on top of hill. My favorite spot to run away from all of the crap in high school."
She sighed and bit her bottom lip to hold tears. She cried enough before she drifted off. She cried enough on top of hill at nights to forget about it. And Eve understood Amy.
She dealt with similar people like Amy, but since she is now the most prior person, she is focusing all of her thoughts on this girl. Or maybe she should finally stop calling her a girl since she is now twenty four.
" I'm sorry, I can't."
And with that, Amy left Eve. Their first session was almost over, but Eve knew, it's a lot of work ahead of her and Amy. But the time is more needed right now for this young woman to process these moments. To live with it and move on, but not close inside. Eve only wants her to be happy like she used to be and understand, that Stephanie can be everywhere she goes, but mostly, in her heart.
In her memories.
