*Brie's POV*
"You were in an accident. What happened is when you tried stopping at an intersection, the roads were slippery causing you to slide into the middle of the road. You were hit from the drivers side by a truck. And now, you are forgetting approximately 4 years of your life." The doctors words scared me the slightest bit.
"Will She ever be ok?" My mom asked.
"We aren't sure. Just live your life the way would have. As if this never happened." The doctor finished and left the room to give us a moment.
"I think it would be best you come home with us for a while. What do you remember last?" My mom was shoving everything in my face at once.
"Mom, mom. Just wait. One thing at a time.... Where was I before this?!" I said after realizing what she said.
"That's not the point. The point is that you need to come home. Answer my question, what is the last thing you remember?" She was so anxious to know.
"I don't know... I think it was when you were having my baby brother." I was suddenly so excited to see him.
"You can meet him when we get home." She said sternly, grabbing my hand. I jumped off the bed and followed her out the door.
That boy that talked to me as soon as i woke up was sitting next to the door.
He stood up immediately then stopped in his tracks as soon as he saw my mom. We made eye contact for a second until my mom drug me away. He seemed mad. Like that's not what was supposed to happen.
--
"So this is what I missed?" I held back the tears in my eyes as Christian hugged me tight.
"Technically you didn't miss it." My dad joked.
I had to laugh a little.
"What about Grace?" I asked. They didn't say anything, which made me think that I should really go and see her. I said bye and hopped on my skateboard.
A few minutes later I arrived at her house. My finger pressed against the door bell and I waited for the door to open.
"Hello-" Grace started. Her eyes grew wide when she saw me.
"Hey! What's u-" She slammed the door in my face. What? Did I do something wrong?
"Grace!!" I banged on the door.
She finally came up to the window and she made a mad face.
"Go away!" She said.
"What's wrong?!" I strained.
She simply sighed and closed the curtains. A second later her front door opened, allowing me inside.
She led me up to her room, saying hi to her mom and dad. Her older brother smiled at me. He looked so much older.
"What do you want?" She asked, collapsing on her bed. I finally got a good look at my best friend. She matured a lot, her hair is longer and she is taller.
"I, uh, wanted to say hi. Is something missing here?" I asked towards her attitude.
"Yes! Our friendship!" She started to raise her voice, just as a boy walked in.
"I don't know what I did." I said sadly. I always hated when she was mad at me.
"Hey Grace! Justin needs us A S A P." the boy said. He looked at me like he was shocked.
"You're here." He said.
"Who are you?" I asked sassy coming out.
"I'm Ryan. You don't remember me?" He asked.
I took a seat on Grace's bed beside her.
"I must have met you in the last 4 years." I choked out. I'm not sure why but tears pricked at my eyes.
"Grace, Brie was in an accident. She doesn't remember me, Justin or anyone she has met in the last 4 years. She was in a bad car accident." Ryan summed it all up. Then for no unknown reason, I bursted into tears.
"I'm trying to remember!" I squeaked out.
Grace hugged me close and I felt not-so stupid now.
"What happened to us Grace? You act like you hate me!!" I cried on her shoulder.
"That doesn't matter right now! We have to get you to Justin!" She squeezed me tight and we all left her house.
