I glanced back at the beach and saw Justin sitting in the same position he was. My heart was doing flips. I didn't know what to do. Why is it so hard to let me go? I slowly made my way back to him and I was about to walk past him when he jumped up.
"Brie." He said softly. I stopped and looked at him. His cheeks were stained with tears.
"What?" I replied. He took my hand and pulled me closer to him.
"Last time I let you go, you were in a car crash." He whispered. I felt something small and wet touch my bare shoulder. I've really seen a boy cry unless it was bad. I guess this was bad. I put my hands around his waist and we stood there, rocking back and forth.
"I'm sorry I did that. I mean, i'm not sure what happened but... I'm sorry I put you through all this crap." I said quietly. He squeezed my tighter.
"It's my fault. I should have ran faster to get you." He replied.
"Will you tell me what happened?" I asked. He pulled back and showed a small smile, "yeah. Let's sit down..."
We sat down and I laid my head on his lap. He started curling my hair in his hand and stared at the sea. The sun was starting to set and everything looked orange. I smiled and stared at his face.
"It started when the Paparazzi were talking to you. They just put ideas in your head and I guess you just fell apart then and there. They do that every time they get a chance to talk to you. You can came and told me you couldn't do it anymore. Just like you did a few minutes ago. Then it just happened...." He said. I processed all that in my brain. I thought about what those girls said and I thought about how similar it sounded to what just happened.
"I see." I said, pressing my lips together. It didn't seem very complicated.
"It happened really fast. Now I vow not to let anything happen to you. I'm sorry if I get to touchy." He said as he pushed my hair out of the way and Kissed me. I stayed laying there until I got cold.
Justin and I went inside and I got dressed. He came up to my room when I was done.
"Remember how I said My room looked boring?" I asked. We sat down on my bed and I thought of the memory earlier....
"Yep. What do you wanna do with it?" He asked enthusiastically.
I smiled and continued, "I have an idea. Are you ip for it tonight?" O asked as I looked outside to see the sun setting still. He looked back at me confused.
We drove to the local paint store and grabbed the brightest colors they had. Justin paid for them and we drove all the way back home.
"Ok so we need to spread the colors out and stuff. It's called paint splatter." I said as I moved all the pictures and stuff off my walls.
"Do your parents know about this?" Justin asked.
"Nope!" I replied.
Together, we moved everything away from my already Green walls. I was about to take down my pictures above my bed when I noticed one of me and Justin. We were tangled together on the couch downstairs sleeping. His hand was wrapped in my hair from playing with it.
I smiled to myself and showed Justin.
"I remember when that was taken. It was before I left." He smiled and kissed my cheek. We finished moving everything to the middle of my room and sat down on my bed. You couldn't even see it from the door because of my dresser and a tall bookshelf. We climbed onto my bed and sat there.
"I'm exhausted. What time is it?" I asked Justin.
"About 10." He replied, laying down flat on my bed. I sat at his feet and thought about tomorrow.
"We an paint tomorrow right?" I asked.
"Yep." He replied. I went to go to the kitchen when he grabbed my hand.
"I need to talk to you. It's about my career." He said.
"Ok. I'll get some popcorn and we can watch a movie downstairs." I told him.
