Prince Alexander's POV

Walking towards the tent with their personal security guards around them to keep the media at bay, Alex glanced over to the large tent and saw that the eligibles were all there seated around two tables near the front along with Madam Eunice and the Royal committee members.

"Once again, I would like to thank you personally for what you did to the orphanage. It means a lot to us and the children just love it, I have never seen them this happy." Mrs. Murphy the Manager of the orphanage said to his parents. She was a petite woman with chestnut-brown hair and hazel eyes.

"You don't have to thank us Mrs. Murphy, this was the right thing to do. We did not do this because we felt that it was our responsibility as the King and Queen, but as parents ourselves. It's very difficult and heartbreaking knowing, and seeing many children as young as them being left alone. Children, regardless of their backgrounds need to grow up in a safe place that has all their necessary needs." Alex heard his father tell the Manager sincerely.

"Yes," His mother nodded then she looked around the grounds. "And the gardens look beautiful, so they'll have plenty of fresh air and space to run around."

"Thank you your highness. The community bonded together to make this happen, we didn't even have to hire professionals." Mrs. Murphy told them happily.

"That's wonderful, you don't always need a professional to do something for you. My mother-in-law had a green thumb and grew some of the plants up at the Palace."

Mrs. Murphy's eyebrows rose. "Her late majesty, Queen Jacqueline?"

Alex grinned while his parents laughed. Yes, it was a little difficult to imagine a Queen doing gardening but it was true, his grandmother had a green thumb and loved nature, especially plants. As they continued along the footpath, Alex eyebrows dipped in curiosity when he caught sight of one of his father's guard having a conversation with three others up ahead, clear signs of irritation etched on his face as he was having a word with his younger colleagues then the three nodded their heads at what he said turned and walked away.

"Excuse me." Alex told Mrs. Murphy and his family before walking over to the guard. "Harry."

The tall, masculine bald headed man with piercing grey eyes look at him. "Your majesty."

"Is everything alright?"

"Yes."

Alex squinted his green eyes at the large man, accusingly. "I can tell that your lying, Harry."

"...Forgive me." The guard apologised with a sigh. "A paparazzi tried to get into one of the rolls-royces that carried some of the eligibles into town."

"What?" Alex eyes widened in disbelief at this revelation. "Are they okay?"

"Yes, no one was hurt in the process."

"Which vehicle was it?"

"Stag."

"Do you know which eligibles were in it?" Alex pressed, wanting to know more.
