A/N

Hey! Just wanted to give a little warning, since this chapter will be dealing with the topics of PTSD and abusive family (Junko). If that's something you're not comfortable with, this might not be the chapter for you. Either way, I hope you have a great day!

Your talent

• You are the Ultimate Counselor

How you met

• Growing up as an empath was more difficult for you than it might have seemed. If you interacted with someone who was sad, you could feel that sadness starting to weigh you down. If you talked to an angry person, it made your blood boil. You felt emotions more intensely than anyone you knew.

• But as time passed, you began to see the beauty of being an empath. Since you could feel the emotions of others, you could help them think through their problems. This set you on the path of becoming the Ultimate Counselor.

• You were accepted into Hope's Peak, and the other students began to see you as someone  who could help them with whatever negative emotions you were feeling. All except one, that is.

• You didn't know her name. It's possible that nobody in the class did, since she seemed to go out of her way to be on her own. She was a pretty girl with short black hair, and freckles that dotted her face. The most striking feature about her, however, was the feeling of sadness she gave off.

• Wanting to make sure that all of your classmates were supported, you approached her one day and introduced yourself. She didn't say a word. You explained that you were the Ultimate Counselor, and you wanted her to know that you were there to talk if she ever wanted it.

• After a moment of silence she asked, "Is it alright if we talk later today?" You were ecstatic about this. You'd finally get a chance to help her with any negative emotions she was feeling. Before class started, you asked her what her name was. She played with her hair a little bit and responded, "Mukuro Ikusaba, the Ultimate Soldier."

Getting to know her

• You had your first in-depth conversation with Mukuro later that afternoon. The staff of Hope's Peak assigned you an empty classroom to talk with the other students in, to ensure that your talks were confidential, so that's where you met Mukuro.

• Before anything else, you told Mukuro that your conversations would be completely confidential and that she didn't have to talk about anything she wasn't comfortable with. She thanked you, and was silent for a few minutes.

• When she spoke again, she said that she didn't know how to say what she wanted to say. You told her to talk to you like she talked to her friends. The next thing she said was enough to break your heart.

• Her expression slightly softened and she said, "I've never had a friend who cared enough to listen to me." That sentence was almost enough to make you lose your composure. Instead, you told her that you'd be a friend that wanted to hear about anything she was willing to share.

• You saw Mukuro smile for the first time, and she began to open up.

• She mostly told you about the time she spent in various mercenary groups. She may not have ever suffered a physical injury as the Ultimate Soldier, but her psyche had suffered over the years.
