You know, when you were a child, you swore you'd actually do something with your life and not just limit yourself to this town. So, would this count, or does it not? Who knew you'd have this type of crisis during your freshman year... In Hawkins, Indiana. With little resistance, which you didn't know if you should be insulted or grateful for, the plan was to make you bait while the others went into the Upside Down and killed Vecna during his trance. Were you okay with being bait? You suppose... It had its ups and downs. Is there a possibility that you'd die? Yes, definitely. But did this choice mean you could possibly save Hawkins? Yes. So the morality was there.

"Just say the word, and we'll ditch this whole plan," Eddie whispered. He got up from his seat on the couch when the whole reveal happened, opting to stand beside you. "Even get into some random car and drive somewhere else."

You turned your head to give him a suspicious look. You understood he was looking out for you, but these were your friends, and, you suppose, this was the town you've grown to care about. "We're going through with the plan, Eddie. No more running."

He took a moment to look at you before nodding in acceptance, "No more running..."

"Where are we supposed to even get weapons to fight... Henry/One/Vecna?" Robin asked, looking around for anyone who had ideas. Which you and Eddie definitely had because the both of you turned your heads to each other simultaneously with matching grins.

Quickly running to his room and coming back out with a piece of paper, he flattened it out on the table. This caused everyone to surround him, except you and Max. "Check this out. The War Zone. I've been there once. It's huge. They got everything you need for, uh... well, killing things, basically."

You took this moment to talk to the redhead, side-stepping closer to her, successfully gaining her attention as she turned her head towards you. "You're very beautiful, you know?" You complimented with a cheeky smile.

"Are you... Are you really taking this moment to flirt with me, [Y/L/N]?" She questioned. You watched as she went through a mix of emotions, but you most definitely noted how she was currently fighting off a smile. Finally, you nodded in response. "I don't think Vecna will get a chance to kill you."

"And why is that?"

"'Cause I'll be the one to do it first." The girl replied nonchalantly, letting out a chuckle at your expression. "...You're lucky you're cute, or else I would've hit you already."

"Very superficial of you. Wait..." You paused, recalling how she hit you a while ago. Deciding to fake being shocked and hurt, you asked, "Does that mean you thought I was ugly a while ago?" You watched as she paused, her back straightening and her eyes clearly looking you up and down.

"Yes," Max replied. Her head quickly snapped back to the group when Eddie called for her.

"Hey, Red, uh, you got a ski mask or a bandanna, something like that?" He questioned, bringing everyone's eyes to the girl. She contemplated it a bit, eventually nodding.

"Uh... You guys wait here." The redhead replied not long before grabbing your wrist and dragging you with her. It caught you by surprise, almost causing you to trip over your feet. Nonetheless, you followed the girl with zero resistance. Heck, if it really was your last day, you'd happily spend the time with her.

Max led you to the side of her home. You suspected it was because she wanted to avoid seeing her mom after the incident. As soon as you both entered through the window, you observed the girl's room. She never allowed you to come inside the home, considering she avoided everyone, so it was nice. You think? If it made sense, you felt like it had the aura of her . It somehow comforted you.
