VEGASPETE : TWO WORLDS APART

Chapter 24

15 days spent like that, Vegas and I were getting more comfortable and calm around each other, I came to know so many things about him, just by observing him. But life here is a bit boring as I am the person who is always moving, working, singing and dancing. He went to work everyday at almost same hours and comes around sunset cause I am scared alone. We eat together, play video games together, watch movies together, but in between he gets turned on and the movie plans gets replaced by our private things, we had it almost everyday, sometimes he goes beyond the limit then I had to suffer the next day. My birthday is two days later, and for that I had to go and shoot  a bit of video for my fans at the company, Vegas lets me use my phone when he is with me. We are going out for the first time since I came here, I am happy to go out. He is working on the couch on his laptop and I was getting ready after having a shower, but that badass guy doesn't get up cause he doesn't really wanna take me outside, I don't know why.

" Vegas, move your ass to the bathroom and get ready, we had to go, you are stuck their since morning, then why did you take a leave, you should have gone, I would have managed myself or you could send your guard with me." I said in a commanding tone, he lifted his face, he looks sexy in those glasses by the way. 

" Babe, can't you shoot it here? It would be the same."

"No, It won't. I have to, its their rules, and I work under a company so I had to follow them. It won't take more than 2 hrs, lets go, and its been so many days since I had seen the world around, don't be a dick Vegas."

"What will I get in return of it?"

" Its my birthday, so you should do what I say, and even if its not that then take me there as a birthday gift."

"Then what about the gift I bought for you, should I return it?"

" You want to sleep on the couch?"

"Don't be mad, birthday boy, just give me 15 minutes."

I know how to move his ass up in a second as its been 2 hrs since he last said 15 minutes," Vegas, I will kiss you 3 times if you get ready in 10 minutes."

It worked, he stood up on point and rushed to the shower, I was laughing at his act, he is quiet adorable sometimes, I know how to bribe him and make him do the things he won't ever agree to do. He was early by a minute, and as promised I gave him the kisses he deserved and we went out finally. The outside air seems so good, its nice to be free.

I went to the company where we shot the video, Vegas was on his phone  waiting in the lounge while I shot the video.  Yul came and I hugged him as he is someone I miss as a habit of seeing him everyday.

" You, what you did to my house? And were you hurt anywhere? I was very worried about you, you even went unreachable, what's goin' on? "

" Their was a bit of accident, so I had to move away from there, and I am staying out of town, actually I think I needed this time."

"And who is he you came with?"

" He is...my boyfriend...kind of.." I blushed so hard while saying that, its my first time introducing someone as my boyfriend.

"What? Who is he? What does he do? Where do you met him? And since when is this goin' on?"

" I will tell you later, but this is a very secret thing, Arm and Pol doesn't even know that, I told  you because I consider you as my elder brother so don't tell anyone else."

"Okay, I got you but answer me one thing? Does he loves you truly? As I don't have a doubt about you."

" He does, as far as I know, he is like me too, he had never loved before, I can see through him sometimes, his eyes are honest when he says that."

" I am relieved and happy for you then, and do you wanna have a coffee? Invite him too, I don't know when I will see you again."

We went to the nearest cafe together, Vegas was a very different person with him, he looked very normal and ordinary like us, no one can say that this guy kills people like mosquitoes. I left them alone as I went to take an icecream for me and Yul, he has this habit of having too much ice cream.

" Actually I don't wanna say that really, but I want you to take care of Pete well, I know you are already doing that as he is someone who is hesitant to fall. But he is an honest man, I know him since he was 15 and look he grew up so well, he is like my younger brother and its been 9 years since then and I had never been in trouble except this time but anyways,  all he wants is to be sincerely loved by someone and I am happy he got someone by his side, I hope you two always stay together."

" You don't have to worry about that, I will keep him safe and secure till I die."

I returned with the ice cream, I feel really good when I see Vegas interacting with my people. I sat on my seat, but dropped my phone, so I bent down to get it.

BANG.BANG. BANG.

Gunshots were heard and the sounds of shouting and screaming emerged, people were running to save their lives and a chaos was there. I was too stunned to move, and stuck in that position, as a bloodied body collapsed on the floor, Yul was covered in blood with wounds of gunshots in his head. I dropped down, tears sprang from my eyes, I was blank, my hands were shivering. I glanced up, Vegas was shooting at the armed men, his guard were there in the cafe, hidden, they came  out and made  a security layer around him. 

"PETE, LETS GO, NOW."

"YUL...YUL..."

Vegas checked his pulses and then signaled his guard. He grabbed my hand and took me to the car, my gaze was still at Yul, he wasn't moving.

"What about him? Vegas...What about Yul?"

" Pete, he is dead. Come on, hurry." And he led me to the car, I lost someone close to me again, I can't believe it happened, its seems like a bad dream I wanna escape. The car rushed but their were still many cars following us, showering bullets at us, but as the car was bulletproof, we were managing to be safe, Noi was rushing the car at his full speed, soon a car bumped into us, and it gave a strong jolt. Vegas held me strongly in his arms, he buried my face in his chest, my eyes were closed and I was holding him tight, soon his guard's car came around shielding us, and almost half an hour like that we were able to escape and went to the main family house.

NOTE: You never know what life may bring for you next second, and whose fate can lead to what, sometimes its us who gets mislead, cause the fear of losing people around is what makes the death more scary for us.  Lets see what fate has decided for Pete and Vegas...
