"Can we meet after work?" Y/N texted. It has been a long day for you and its only lunch time. You kept on looking at the small hands on your wristwatch hoping that it will turn a little bit faster and the day will end.

Your feet have been aching from running around in heels the whole day from meeting to meeting. Your clients flew in from all over the world and you had to accompany them as you bid for which museum will get to keep the rare specimen next.

Your were mentally and physically exhausted. One more phone call and one more meeting and you might finally blow your top and lose it. Your only consolation would be meeting Kihyun that evening - that is if he replies.

Ping!

The notification popped and it read: "Yes! Your place or mine?" It was a few hours later but it was better than no answer at all

You quickly replied: "It doesn't matter! I just need whatever place."

He didn't reply again. "I'm coming over to your office after work". He replied with a thumbs up this time.

Two hours later, you sped past the concierge. He tipped his hat just to acknowledge that he knows that you just sped past him.

He knows who you are.

You are that "friend" that was always here, the one who has free access to his office. You weren't his girlfriend, you were just that friend. The one that everyone respected and knew had power (over Kihyun? Probably. Same power as Kihyun? Also probable). Whenever Kihyun had a significant other, everyone was still sure that you would Trump over them, intentionally or not. They knew that if there were a few things that the significant other would do that Kihyun knew you would dislike - even if you did not voice out any opinions - that relationship would be over. It was just the way your relationship was. There was no power play, it just is.

You were friends for long enough to have that kind of relationship.

You arrived at his office tower. You headed to his secretary who has just finished packing his bags to leave.

"Is he still here?" you asked his secretary. He looked at you not knowing how to respond. He seemed to be intimidated by your presence. He must be new. "Kihyun, your CEO. Not so tall guy but domineering personality. Scares everyone".

The secretary nodded and pointed towards the door. "He said he was waiting for someone."

You nodded and that was your cue. "That's me! No need to tell him I am here". Your lips formed a line to mimic a smile, turned around and entered the office. You patted the secretaries arm, "I can take it from here. You may leave now."

Kihyun over heard the conversation and raised a thumbs up able to be seen by the secretary through a window just to the right of the door panels.

Entering the office, Kihyun looked at you for a second just to acknowledge and gave a cheeky smile.

You didn't need to be told to get comfortable. Wherever Kihyun is, you are comfortable, so you plopped down on his couch, removed your hair tie letting your hair lose, kicked of your heels, took of that innocent and decent-looking blouse that you irritatingly wore the whole to pretend to be nice and sat there wearing your inner shirt and your skirt.

"Yoo Kihyun! Are you done?" you said wiggling your toes that was propped over the sofa armrest.

He looked over his computer. "Dude, wait a second, I am not done yet."

You quickly sat up from the couch, hair tangled all over the place. Gone was the prim and proper museum representative that just had meetings the whole day with international buyers. You looked at him with contempt.
