So much has changed since you've been away

💫⭐✨⭐💫

It's been 9 years already, love. 9 years since I last saw the love of my life. 9 years since I felt your kisses.

Now that I look at it, how did I survived those years without you? Is it a miracle? Or a sign telling me how moving on looks like? Either way, I still miss you badly. The wounds here in my heart never healed up. Every memories of you kept tearing it open, leaving me bleeding. And it keeps going on and on and on... An endless cycle, repeating each day.

Today is your death anniversary.

The annual day to commemorate you. Of course, I do it with our friends. We're still complete, our friendship longer than eternity. Our bond stronger than thousand of storms combined. Thanks to you.

You keep us going with all the things you did for each of us.

"Papa, they're here!", Yeoreum squeled with delight.

I nodded, fixing the tie around my neck. Today is not going to be a sad day. It's gonna be full of laughter about the memories you created. Straightening my suit, I walked downstairs to find Jungkook and Taehyung hugging our daughter.

"Hey, man.", Namjoon greeted me with a huge smile. His deep voice awakened me from my thoughts, leading me to smile.

"How's my son's husband? Feeling fine?", Seokjin-hyung questioned, patting my back a little harshly.

"Aiissshhh!! My suit's gonna be ruined. Jimin will definitely show up at your house and destroy all your precious pans if I told him you want my good looks to become ugly, starting by ruining my suit." I lashed out at him, but with a hint of joke in it.

"Alright, alright. No need to be aggresive, old man", he said, laughing.

"Right," I mumbled.

Suddenly, Hobi wrapped me in a big, bone crushing hug, almost choking me to death.

"Easy there, boy.", I managed to say through all the pressure he gave to my body.

"I missed your grumpiness, Yoongi-hyung.", he said, letting me breath after 3 seconds of torture.

Taehyung and Jungkook are still busy playing with Yeoreum using her toys.

"Yah, you two. Did you just went here to play with my daughter instead of greeting this poor old man?" I asked, exaggeratingly helding my chest, pretending that I'm super hurt.

"Awww, sorry hyung. Your daughter is sooo lovable. Thank goodness she didn't inherited your swagness." Jungkook stated, hugging me briefly before hiding behind Taehyung.

"Yah!!".

Everyone laughed, including our precious Yeoreum, who was sitted in our purple couch. In the midst of it all, I think I saw you again, laughing with the rest of us. The room seems more brighter although the door was still closed. The cold winter breeze dissipated, replaced by a warm one, like the hugs you use to share with me.
