VALENTINA REYES
5 months ago, Valentina Reyes was a totally different person; mentality wise at least. After the "incident", as her dad and therapist call it, her entire life shifted and her mindset with it. And it wasn't for the better. It caused her to do online classes instead of going into school but now with winter break over, she's going back to Riverdale High for a fresh start.
"Mi morrita, I'm leaving for work!" Marco knocks on Valentina's door, calling out from the other side. Valentina moves slightly in her sleep but doesn't wake up fully. Marco knocks again a little louder than the first time. "Roza, lavántate." Valentina groans, rubbing her eyes. (Mi morrita=my little girl)
"Fine, I'm up. I'm up." She calls out throwing the blanket off of her and sliding out of bed slowly. She doesn't hear his footsteps leave, so she opens her door while rubbing her eye. "Dad?" She sees him just standing there with a concerned look on his face.
"You gonna be okay today?" He asks her, referring to her going back to school for the first time in months. She gives him a small smile with a nod.
"Oh yeah, I can handle Riverdale High." She shrugs while rolling her eyes. Nobody at Riverdale High could intimidate her or put a stunt on her move back to real school.
"Okay, te amo mija." He says giving her a tight hug and a kiss on the head. "Call me if anything happens. I'll come immediately." He pulls away from her with a smile. (Te amo mija=I love you darling)
"Yes, of course, Dad. Te amo." He gives her a nod, walking down the hallway and stairs. Valentina watches him leave before walking into her room, shutting the door. This was the day she'd been waiting for since the beginning of the year. It's not a good look for her to take a break from school, it makes her look "weak". Or so she's her dad and best friend, Kevin Keller.

"Val...I didn't know you were coming back." A voice says, one familiar to Valentina. Valentina looks up and sees the usual blonde ponytail attached to it.
"Well, I am." Valentina looks at the blonde girl, Betty Cooper. Betty isn't necessarily her friend but she's close with Kevin and Jughead, so Valentina hangs around her sometimes. Valentina sees a Hispanic girl standing next to Betty. She looks too happy to be standing there. With her designer leather purse and fancy looking dress. She looks like she should be walking the streets of Manhattan, not Riverdale High.
"Veronica. Veronica Lodge." The girl puts her hand out to shake Valentina's hand. Valentina looks at it then looks back down to the phone in her hand. She's never been a people person and Veronica didn't look like her kind of person, even if she was a people person.
