The Mysterious Side

Kitchen chaos

Patton and I arrived in the kitchen, "Alright, what're we making, Padre?" Patton beamed at my nickname, "Well, I was thinking we could make your favorite food for dinner!" I was surprised that he wanted to cook a dish that I suggested, "R-really? I can go grab my recipe then!!" I quickly ran to my brother's room again and bust the door open and quickly whispered in Virgil's ear, "Hey, where did you put the old recipe we used to cook in the dark mindscape?" Virgil pointed to his desk, "Second drawer!" He said quickly before I run over and rummage through the drawer for about 6 minutes and grab a folded piece of paper in a secret compartment in the back of the drawer. I hold it up where he could see it as I close the drawer, "Yeah! That's the recipe, alright!" Virgil had confirmed, "Recipe for what?" Creativity had asked Virgil as I walked toward the door and nodded for him to explain what it was for, "Well, it's Dream's and my favorite cooking recipe back when we were a dark side group, and before you ask me what it is, it's a secret so you'll just have to wait until dinner is finished!"

"Dinner's ready!!" Patton's call could be heard throughout the mindscape so everyone, except the dark sides, could hear him. Not long after he called out for dinner the sides that were in Virgil's room came and sat down at the table, ready to eat what Patton and I had made,"Okay kiddo! You can go sit at the table while I finish this right up!" Patton had said from the kitchen followed into the dining room right next to it. I sat at the end of the table with an empty seat beside me for Patton to sit, while we waited for a few minutes I had noticed that Logic had his nose in a book on astrology and star patterns so I decided to tap his shoulder to get his attention, 'Hey, your Logic, right? I was interested in the book you're reading and I would like to try and be an acquaintance to you, if you'd like to give me a chance,' I signed after he looked in my direction, "Yes, that would be lovely and if you'd like I can let you borrow this book after I'm done with it," he responded in a softened monotoned voice as I was about to respond to his offer, Patton had walked in with the food I had helped him with not long before I sat at the table. (Can be seen at the top) It took one big tray to carry all of the food to the table and when he sat it down Logic and Creativity had shocked faces as Virgil, Patton and I all were proud of the work and smiles while I had put my hands together in front of my chest to slightly bow,"Itadakimasu!" I whisper to myself as Virgil does the same as me but louder. We all start eating the dinner that Patton and I worked hard on making and it made me smile when everyone seemed to enjoy it. After everyone finishes eating I quickly whisper, "Gochiso sama deshita!" As Virgil does the same and we all get up and I start towards the sink in the kitchen to wash the dishes with Patton, a tap on my shoulder that caused me to turn around to see a familiar face, "Hello, you haven't responded to my offer yet so I have caught you before washing dishes to get your answer," I quickly look around like we were being watched and whispered in a low voice, "I would love to borrow the book and maybe we could read together sometime? Though I hope you know that I like astrology and fantasy books more than other genres but I gotta go now! I can meet you in your room to answer any questions you might have, that sound good?" I ran off after he nodded and walked off to the stairs to wait for me in his room.

695 words is good for writing this for two days lol. But I don't really have a lot to say today so I'm gonna start the next chapter tomorrow!
