(y/n)'s POV
"And this year's Oscars for best supporting actress goes to..." the whole audience grows silent, intensely waiting on the announcement of the winner of the last Oscar for the night.

I'm here shaking in my boots. I've never been so nervous in my life. Sure, I've won so many awards to say the least. BAFTA's, Screen Actor's Guild's, Golden Globes — you name it.

The only thing I hadn't won in the entirety of my career was the coveted Oscar award. It's been something I've set my eyes on since the very first day I'd started acting. I've been nominated countless times, but I'd always get beaten by Meryl Streep or Jennifer Laurence.

I'm not gonna lie... they deserve it. I just wish to win one myself.

Leonardo DiCaprio unfolds the envelope to reveal a name and I grip my fingers tight. Please let this be the one — please let this be the one.

"(y/n) (y/l/n)!"

My ears are in disbelief at what they just heard. And they're a part of me, so so am I. I stand up and walk up to receive my Oscar — finally. I walk past a couple of my friends as I walk up the stage.

Florence Pugh, Johnny Depp, Robert Downey Jr., Zendaya all give me the biggest smiles and hugs as I walk past them and onto the stage. Leonardo meets me, going in for a hug as he hands me the Oscar.

I hug him back, pulling away right after to walk to the mic at the podium.

"Well, uh... I — I honestly don't know what to say. I never really expected to win tonight. Y'all overlook me somehow." The crowd laughs at my humor and I go with the flow.

"But in all seriousness. Thank you so much. This means the world to me. I'd like to thank my mother and father, who're in the audience tonight." I gesture towards my parents who are seated next to where I'd been.

"I'd also like to thank my friends, some in the crowd and some not. But y'know who you are." I say. The crowd claps as I try to regain all the composure that I'd left behind in my seat.

"I don't wanna take up too much of your time. So thank you so much, and I wish you all so much love and good night!" I speak and leave the stage with everyone still clapping and chanting.

"Well, well, well. Look who's finally won an Oscar." Florence says to me. I smile at her, giving her another hug as everyone stands up to greet one another as they leave.

"I'm honestly in shock right now."

"I'd be too, darling. I'd be too."

                            the next morning

My alarm goes off and I hit the snooze button. I then get up from bed and stretch wide. I really need to see a chiropractor because my back is killing me. Strange because I do so many exercises and move a lot, yet I still feel like my back doesn't age with the rest of my body.

I then look at the time — 6:00am. Who the hell wakes up this early? I mean with the season we're in, the sun doesn't rise until 7:00!

Oh, wait — I do. I wake up this early because I expect calls starting from 8:00am sharp from Toby, my agent. So I wake up extra early so I can... one, get some time to relax and recharge my social battery and two, so I can talk to Toby with a less tired voice.
