Corvallis, Oregon Eastern region
Inside a small bookstore called THE BOOK BIN was a young teenager reading a novel called DUNE by Frank Herbert.
He was sitting on a wooden bench that was in the bookstore itself.
That's when suddenly he checked his watch.
5:30 PM
"Time to go." He muttered under his breath.
He quickly got up and went to the checkout to get his new book.
After getting his book he jogged to the transit station and took the bus 5 route to where his house was.
While on the road he started reading more of his new book.
That's when he looked out the bus window to see nothing but pine trees.
"Beautiful." He thought in his head.
After what felt like an hour he arrived at his place and quickly got out.
Walking down a gravel road.
He continued when he was greeted by a cabin.
Walking up the front porch he reached the door handle and to be confused it was open.
He went inside to not see or hear his father out in the backyard which he assumed was working on the wood in the shed.
His father was a lumberjack and woodworker.
So he mostly spends his time working.
But usually they would eat and talk about his work and what he was working on.
After the death of his mother, Adam would see how sad his father was.
He wouldn't date anyone or replace her; she was everything to him.
Adam remembered the funeral and the last time he saw her.
He was 8 years old when it happened.
He shook his head trying to forget that dramatic tragic memory.
After putting his new book on the dining table he checked to see in the refrigerator what he could possibly eat.
He pulled out a bottle of water and walked back in the dining room to
grab his book again and walked back up the stairs to his bedroom
Closing the door behind he went over to his desk clearing it from his scale model he was working on.
Gently put it to the side and sat down on his chair near his desk.
And began to read again.
