15 December 1914

Germany

Wilhelmshaven port

The last few months have been hectic. Graf Spee's remarks about the raid on the town of Yarmouth have brought up morale for the fleet as news of casualties came in, but the upside of all this is SMS Lützow is near her commissioning date. That brought up the moral for the battlecruiser row.

But now it was going to be hell for them. Another raid on the British isles. the last time this happened. Her sister was chased to Wilhelmshaven by the grand fleet, but order is an order even if she can't be heard by the crew. Now, Seydlitz has departed the Jade estuary. Following Seydlitz were Derfflinger, Moltke, Von der Tann, Graf Spee and Blücher, along with the light cruisers Kolberg, Strassburg, Stralsund, and Graudenz, and two squadrons of torpedo boats. (I have done research so the update is longer)

Now, with Graf Spee helping them, the chances of making it back like last time increased. now that they have reached the rallying point, the fleet has split with Derfflinger, Von de Tan and Graf Spee going south to shell Scarborough and Whitby, while Seydlitz, Moltke, and Blücher went north to shell Hartlepool.

When the goodbyes had been said, the fleet departed each other to the cold comfort of the North Sea.

In transit to Scarborough.

"Graf, when When will we be there?" asked Derfflinger.

"In a few minutes", replied Graf Spee, her voice was stressed. She had the biggest gun of the German battlecruiser fleet, which was 14 inch, but she was extremely stressed.

A few minutes have passed and they have reached the bombardment area like the plan said.

When the bombardment started in Scarborough, it was hell for the people who lived in the city/town in the original timeline where Kongou hadn't been sold to Germany. The Raid was less destructive as 10-12 inch guns do not have the firepower of a 14 inch naval cannon.

As the shell started hitting a fiery explosion, one of Graf Spee's shells must have hit the ammunition storage for the shore gun, but the raid kept going and as the hours went by, they left a burning city/town for the survivors to rebuild.

The survivors after the war have come out and said that night it was like hell had rained down on them.

"That was amazing", gushed Derfflinger, as if she had found herself a new idol.

"That was quite a view, a fiery view", chimed in one of the light cruisers.

(I know my joke making skills are very bad)

Graf Spee looked out to see as they left the fiery hell that was Scarborough, the next target they had was Whitby, the next target (to violate the Geneva suggestion)

As they sailed toward the next city, the fleet atmosphere did not drop but rose as the fleet was happily celebrating the first battle for most of the members. But while the remainder of the fleet celebrated, Graf Spee was conflicted; this was reflected by its crew.

Later later that night

Whitby

When they had reached the bombardment spot again, the shell started firing and he'll started to appear as the thunder of the German gun was reinforced by the explosion that happened as torpedo boats made their run of the Royal Navy ship that was docked.

The scream of terror of the Royal Navy ship spirit was like a nightmare coming true. The curse being thrown at the Germans was extremely creative, even if Graf Spee could make out most of them.

But as the defense naval gun fire one of the light cruisers was hit and the bombardment stopped for a few seconds. the habitats of the city/town were ecstatic, but that changed when the roar of Graf Spee gun started again, this time followed by an explosion of death and destruction, the defense gun battery have been silenced and the town hall was is ruin when the fleet left the people of the city/town pick up the piece and search for survivors. Many titles have been awarded to the raiding fleet of Whitby, but the most famous of them was Graf Spee Raider of the Isle, for now at least.

When the two fleets started regrouping, there was stress that the grand fleet had mobilized and their reinforcements had left them. During the night of 15 December, the main body of the High Seas Fleet encountered British destroyers. Fearing a nighttime torpedo attack, Admiral Ingenohl ordered the ships to retreat.

In addition, the retreat to Wilhelmshaven began.

(Don't worry guy there will be a naval battle in the next chapter please wait patiently)
