[ Several Days Ago]

On the final night of the Final Selection, Shez and Tanjiro were moving through the forest with ease. The Alpha noticed that whenever they ran into a demon, Tanjiro would always ask them if there's a cure to revert a demon back to human. It was odd at first, and she didn't think about why he wanted to know about it.

With him consistently asking and appearing very desperate, Shez then thought if he has a loved one whose turned. Now it was something she never considered for years, upon learning the dangers out there that lurk at night only. She thought once a person is turned, then they'll be demons for eternity.

Thinking about it made her feel kinda stupid to not think it doesn't always end like that. Of course there would always be a possibility of reversing the process. Like when a person gets sick, there should be a cure. Even if the cure isn't gonna be that simple or would be very effective right away.

So upon encountering the few last of them for the night, and killing them when they refused to answer Tanjiro, Shez looks over to the teen. He was beginning to look even more desperate and frustrated for keeping on running into dead ends. None of the demons were being cooperative with him, as they were too hungry to even care.

But even though his scent carries what he exactly feels, there is a scent of determine underlying it. It was plain obvious to tell that he won't give up until he has a lead about the cure that is seemingly nonexistent.

"Is your special someone a demon?"

Shez found herself asking him with utter bluntness, it took Tanjiro by surprise by the question suddenly hurled at him. He looks at her with slight wide eyes, like if he was being obvious about what he was trying to do. A genius can piece it together about his persistence of the possible existence of what he's looking for.

"Eh?"

"Is your special someone a demon? Or is it a close friend? Or a family member?"

Tanjiro's face turned pink at the first guess.

"N-No, no! It's my sister who was turned into a demon for two years now! I want to turn her back into human!" the male Omega quickly explains to her. The female Alpha blinks at his words, which he hastily added, "I know it's frowned upon for keeping a demon around but I can swear to you that she would never hurt humans! Nezuko isn't that kind of person to hurt people and-!"

"Whoa, relax." Shez placed both hands on his shoulders, causing the teen to stop himself from saying anymore to get her to believe him. She deflected the fact his face became red upon feeling her calloused yet warm hands through his clothes.

"You're not wrong about the fact it's frowned upon for keeping a demon with you. You should be aware that the demon slayers are only familiar with demons being all blood-thirsty and causing a lot of sufferings on people. They believe they're all the same."

Shez didn't want to be realistic with him, but he had to know about how dire his circumstances are if someone were to find out about his demon sister.
