Saint Walker One shots

"Look to the stars..."

The sun was in the sky, Bro'dee Walker or as he's known Saint Walker was with his wife, children and father. He was teaching them about God and the how scriptures were very important.
After his teaching he prayed with them.
Then his children went off to play with their neighbours, while his father looked at him and smiled.
"I will rest now, good day" he said as he went into their house.
Then that just left Saint Walker and his wife Quanta.
"I will never understand how you do it all" Said Quanta.
"'Do it all?'" Saint Walker questioned.
"You spend a lot of your time spreading Hope and the word of God to our people and yet you still have time for us" said Quanta said taking her hands in his.
Saint Walker smiled.
"I will always have time for you and our family" said Saint Walker squeezing her hands tighter. "Nothing could ever seperate me from you."

Saint Walker opened his eyes.
'It was just a dream, a memory' he thought.
It had been so long since he had thought about his wife or children ever since he got his blue power ring he had been so focused on so many other things like stopping the red lantern armada and forming the blue lantern corp along with Brother Warth and Ganthet. He had been so busy doing hopeful things and yet he hadn't thought about his family at all since he became a blue lantern. The thought made him feel empty and a bit lonely too.
Saint Walker got out of his bed in his hut on Odym and walked outside in the night sky.
He looked up at the dark blue sky.
'They are in a better place now' he thought.
Now that he was thinking about his family he hadn't realised just how much he missed them, he wished he could be in the presence of his father and his wife or to see his children's happy faces smiling up at him.
He was angry at himself for forgetting them during all that time.

Saint Walker sighed and looked down at the ground, a silent tear fell down his face. He wiped it away with his hand.
"All will be well" he whispered as he closed his eyes tightly.
Then he walked slowly towards the sea shore until his feet were in the water. He looked ahead at the waves, they were a dark blue, just by looking at them it reminded him all to well of the night that his family was murdered and his planet destroyed.
He held his head, it gave him a headache.
Saint Walker took a deep breath and floated in the air with his legs crossed and made a construct of a lute, a peaceful instrument, relaxing.
Then he started to play a piece, a lullaby he would play for his family before his children went to bed. It was lovely, it made his mind at peace. It almost felt like his family was with him right now. It was as though it was yesterday he was back on his home planet with his family in their house, playing that lullaby for them. Saint Walker smiled.
Once he finished the lullaby he opened his eyes and looked to the stars.
He saw four stars in a line in the sky they were bright, brighter than the ones he could see. And from them on he realised that his family were always there, watching over him even if he couldn't see them, he least knew that his family would always be with him.
