A/N: It's been so long since I last worked on this story. I had completely forgotten it and I had a massive writers block on not just on this story but for some of my other ones and I'm so sorry I haven't continued this but I have a few ideas rolling around in my head so I will try and get them done. Hope you enjoy!
It was just a regular bright day on Odym.
The sky was clear, the land was blossoming with plants of all kinds, life, and all different kinds of people living on Odym who had become Blue Lanterns.
Saint Walker flew over the trees, past flowing streams, past mountains and over to the blue battery.
As he looked to his right he could see the giant worm he had befriended years ago when the universe was under the threat of the Manhunters. The giant worm laying down on the sand drifting off to sleep in the warm sun.
Saint Walker smiled then landed in front of the Blue battery and smiled down at everyone down below.
As Saint Walker looked down at all the blue lanterns he walked down from the blue battery down onto the sand.
As he looked around he saw Sister Sercy talking to Brother Hymn, near the shoreline he saw Brothers Warth and Shon along with Rowan Kent and few others meditating.
To his left he saw Ganthet and Sayd (the guardians of the blue lantern corp) talking to one of the newest members of the blue lantern corp. From what he recalled he used to be a red lantern but he had recently turned away from that dark path and left the red lanterns to find some other way to live his life that didn't involve rage.
Then as Saint Walker looked up at the sky he saw Hope Jackson and Asha Rex chasing each other and what it looked like practicing combat in the air.
Hope shot a blast from her ring hitting Asha right in the chest and sent her into a nearby tree.
Saint Walker sighed.
"Oh hi Saint Walker!" Said Hope waving down at him.
Saint Walker waved back at her and flew up to meet her.
"May I ask what the both of you are doing?" Saint Walker asked.
"Oh we're training, and I am definitely winning" said Hope with a big grin on her face.
"Is Asha alright?" Saint Walker asked worriedly.
"Oh she's fine. RIGHT!!" Hope yelled.
In the distance they saw Asha coming out the tree rubbing her arm.
"Ugh! That really hurt" Asha groaned.
"Your fine" said Hope rolling her eyes.
"Well to me it felt like I got stabbed a hundred times then I broke all the bones in my body."
"Oops. Wow Your really terrible at training" said Hope sarcastically.
"Hey I'm learning alright" said Asha.
"You both still have a lot to learn. Not just with combat but also spirituality as well" said Saint Walker crossing his legs and closing his eyes as he began to meditate.
"What's he doing?" Asha asked.
"He's meditating again."
Saint Walker opened his eyes and grinned slightly.
"Come" said Saint Walker flying down towards the ground as Asha and Hope followed him.
"Ohh don't tell me it's another meditation session" Hope moaned.
Saint Walker landed on the ground with his hands behind his back and looked at them both with a calm look on his face.
"Ever since the black lanterns have been defeated there has been peace over the galaxy. That peace may be destroyed when another threat appears but there is always hope and we must be there to spread that hope and the bright blue light from our rings to people all over the galaxy."
"Why are you telling us this?" Hope asked.
"I am telling you this because someday you may lose a battle and when that time comes and it becomes your most desperate hour that is when will search yourself and your hope will be greater than ever before" said Saint Walker.
Asha's eyes widened in inspiration while Hope looked down solemnly.
"I know that. I've been in that situation before" said Hope putting her hands on her hips.
"It's important to use your power wisely and to understand what you were chosen to do so I suggest that you should tell Asha how you came to understand why you were chosen to be a blue lantern" Saint Walker smiled.
Hope sighed. "Fine."
Hope walked beside Asha and told her about her journey through being a blue lantern and what that meant to her. Asha listened intently almost excited.
As Saint Walker watched the two young girls he chuckled to himself. They both still had so much to learn. But he smiled proudly because he knew just how far Hope had come as a person and a true blue lantern through her journey.
Saint Walker flew over to the guardians of their corp; Ganthet and Sayd.
"Asha seems to be fitting in well" said Sayd looking over and Hope and Asha who were still going on about Hope's journey.
"Yes she is" replied Saint Walker.
"You have been very good training with Hope, you must be proud" said Ganthet.
"I am."
"She has come so far and she's improved and has been very successful in helping the new recruits settle into the corp."
"She really has" Saint Walker said smiling down at the blue lantern corp before looking into the bright sun that was starting to set.
