Namjoon's POV
"Let's see who gets the most shots," y/n says settling the gun on her shoulder and pointing towards the human-shaped targets. "I don't even need to guess, you know who will," I say proudly knowing I have a winning streak and I was absolutely sure that I would nail it.
"Don't be too quick to judge" she says confidently adjusting her gun and continues while peeking through the scope to adjust it "How about we have a bet, the winner gets a favor"
She has a card up her sleeve but am I afraid of losing? Hell no.
After thinking about it for a while I replied "What kind of favor?"
I mean what's the worse that she can ask
She looks at me, her eyes boring into mine holding a challenge within them and then she says in a voice that meant no good
"Anything the winner wants"
She then simply shrugs getting back to her position behind the sacks, ducking and aiming her gun. Before I could answer the loud bell rang signalling the start of the shooting.
The shooting began with the targets moving at a fast pace. I was quick to fire and my shots never missed. My attention was on my targets and getting the best shots was my aim. Peeking through the scope, my hand on the trigger and ducking behind the mountain of sacks I kept on firing. Bullet shells rapidly dropping on the ground with clinks.
The environment changing from a practice to an actual war zone.
Fires coming my way but I dodged and fired back at the enemy in sight. My eyes focused on the speedy movement of the enemy calculating their next move and shooting before they even get a chance.
The alarm blared again signaling the stop of the training at the same time pulling me out of the scene I was immersed into. We both ran to check who has won. Knowing I was winning I still couldn't help the curiosity since she was Hella confident and that kinda scared me.
"So who had the most shots?" I asked out of breath
"Looks like y/n won this course" the person managing the targets said. "But how?" I asked confused and looked at the targets comparing them and to my surprise, it was a tie.
"It is a tie look" I signaled the military officer showing him that we both had made equal shots. He shook his head in disapproval and pointed out his finger towards the head, chest, and groin areas of her targets.
"See here? She made all her shots at the vital parts which would either immediately kill or cause enormous pain to the target hence he won't be able to shoot back, but your shots are all randomly targeted. Hers are mature shots like a professional shooter sooo... I mean you both have the same amount of shots though but she takes the trophy"
I looked towards her, she was leaning against the door, smirking at her victory. Her action seemed mocking to me.
How?
I wondered but I guess she already expected the upcoming question. "Guess training the whole night yesterday and studying your techniques paid off," she says passing by me and patting my shoulder in fake sympathy.
