UNMOVING

She just stood there, unmoving,

sitting still taking in more of the room,

nothing in particular was on her mind

she just stood there, unmoving.

The calm nothingness had settled over the room,

it was dark, no lights were on,

No distractions dared to interrupt,

the calm nothingness had settled over the room.

The rhythm repeated in her head,

it was the beat of her heart and her breath,

she could only focus on it more,

the rhythm repeated in her head.

Her world was still,

As was the paused screen in front of her face

as was she in her frozen state.

Her world was still.

Everything was unmoving, everything was still,

everything was focused, everything paused,

everything, a pool of nothingness.

It was the saddest sight I'd ever seen,

The light in her eyes lacked their gleam

And I realized what I said was mean.

It was the saddest sight I'd ever seen.

Complete silence beyond imagination.

We had fought as if for our nation,

Her mouth opened to speak but there was just

Complete silence beyond imagination.

I watched her world end

as the start of tears were released from her eyes,

I knew my love would never spread lies, but still

I watched her world end.

It was a the saddest sight I'd ever seen

Complete silence beyond imagination,

I watched her world end.

She just stood there unmoving

The calm nothingness had settled over the room

the rhythm repeated in her head,

Her world was still,

But mine remained in motion.
