Sure the first day at Truham highschool was pretty daunting while walking through the gates, but now... It felt double.
"Are you ready?," I squeeze Charlie's hand for a sign of comfort, to tell him I'm here.
"Uh yeah," he hesitated but I knew he wanted to do this.
Last night we were discussing over if we should come out to the school.
"We don't have to tell the whole school, I think we should just be ourselves. And besides we don't owe anyone anything,"
"I know but... What if you get bullied, what will people say and think ..," Charlie's voice trails off, his voice wavering. I now turn to look at him, in return he raises his head.
"Char if you don't want to we don't have to, if this makes you feel," I paused, thinking over what to say next, "Makes you feel uncomfortable for people to know, it's okay-,"
Charlie's lips find mine, cutting my words off.
"It's okay, we got this. Like you said, who cares what people think," Charlie tugs my hand, eager for us to enter school.
