"Ming'er, are you sure it's safe to meet friends you've met online?" Lan Xing questioned, looking worried as she gazed around the street they were entering. It was decorated in a victorian aesthetic along with glamourous brands littered everywhere from left to right. Everyone was dressed from tip to toe in branded attire and even the various restaurants available were all expensive franchises.

"We live in a very lawful country, what's the worry?" Shen Yi said, sounding a tad bit sarcastic.

Lan Xing stretched her neck to look around better. "You sure it won't take long, right? I'm not sure it's safe for you to be out of the hospital for a long period even if the Doctor said it was fine."

"I won't die," Shen Yi said in response, tone still dry. "The cafe is the next one to your right."

Lan Xing looked up and there was a cafe with cakes on display and three cold brew towers standing right outside as if to show the world their production process. They walked in after being greeted by the waiter and were escorted into a more private room on the second floor.

Lan Xing looked surprised at how big the shop interior was compared to how it looked on the outside. Meanwhile, Shen Yi kept his eyes closed as if meditating. It is only when the door to the private room was open did his eyes snapped open. Lan Xing pulled him in and what greeted them were two men in their late fifties, one with glasses and the other with a thick goatee.

Their eyes flickered between the two before landing on Shen Yi, "SY?"

"Hm," Shen Yi responded, stepping forward. As he approached the table, his head cocked to the side arrogantly while his eyes remained languid and bored. "Chao Yanxiao and James Leong?"

Lan Xing choked beside him but did her best to stay quiet. It was clear that she wasn't told who exactly they were meeting, she might not have recognised their faces but those names were people that were impossible to recognise. One of them was the Chairman of the largest International Company in this country while the other was the owner of the sixth largest hotel chain in the world.

"You're younger than I thought," James Leong leaned forward. "Who would've known that the most terrifying person behind that incident was a young man who looked as if he wasn't even twenty?"

"Tsk, tsk, James you know that age doesn't matter in these kinds of situations," Chao Yanxiao chuckled. "Talent is all that people cared about."

"Ming'er, these two are your online friends?" Lan Xing hissed quietly into Shen Yi's ears.

Shen Yi nodded and hummed noncommittally.

"Well then," James Leong leaned back. "Mister SY, can I have the pleasure of officially making your acquaintance? I'm James Leong, the owner of the La Rielle Hotel Chain."

"Chao Yanxiao, Chairman of SKR Corporations," the other introduction followed up easily.

"Lan Ming, current the second and third largest shareholder in both your companies respectively," Shen Yi smiled. "Why don't we get to the point of this meeting? After all, it was you who had pleaded that I attend despite my rejections."

It was as if a sudden blizzard had washed over the room, the previous distant yet amicable atmosphere had vanished in instantly. Looking into the eyes of Shen Yi, both the older men could finally see the shadow they had glimpsed during that incident. The terror of being dominated by a superior being, as prey who was held in the palm of its predator like a toy.

To Shen Yi, it was clear why he was pissed off, it was these two men that forced him out of bed and therefore his relaxation. Despite the constant rejection, Shiba's persistent blabbering finally wore him off and Shen Yi forced himself to attend this stupid meeting.
