it is the day of the snowball. me and lucas made a bet to see who max would chose to dance with. We didn't want to seem like it around her though so we kept it to ourselves.

—time skip because I'm sure y'all know where this is going—

I got to the snowball (I almost typed Yule ball 🤦🏼‍♀️) and saw my friends in a cluster but I didn't see max. I started to worry that she wouldn't show up at after I was there for a few minutes but I saw her red hair walking through the door.

Me and Lucas both looked at each other than walked towards her. "Hi max! So glad you could make it." I said when we both walked up to her.

"Hi y/n, Lucas." She said to the both of us. "So... I was kinda wondering if you would want to dance with me... you know if you want..." Lucas said. She kinda rolled her eyes and said, "I'm flattered but I was kinda hoping y/n would dance with me tonight." She said. I blushed a little bit and she grabbed my arm and pulled me onto the dance floor.

I looked back at Lucas real quick and mouthed "10 bucks!" He rolled his eyes and mouthed back "ugh fine!" I smiled.

Me and max were dancing for a little than the slow dance came. We danced for half of the song then she kissed me. It was a shocking experience. We pulled apart and she apologized but I made sure that it was alright.

The rest of the night was a blur but I'm glad I have a girlfriend now.
