"Who would have thought that Monaco would not be boring?" Stephan breathed when the podium ceremony ended of the Monaco GP. "Give it rain, and it's chaos."

Eleanor looked at the iPad that was standing on the table; they were showing the results once again. "It still does not give Leclerc a podium. And that crash of Schumacher... Boy needs to score points, or he will be gone at the end of this season."

"It was a race," her dad concluded and took a sip of his drink. "A win for Perez is also nice for once. But next time, Max will win. He didn't have the pace today, Perez did."

"Because Ferrari fucked it up again," she smirked and grabbed her phone. Could she send Carlos a message? They haven't shared a text since Carlos dropped her off five days ago. Ah, who cares? What do I have to lose? Eleanor started a new chat with Carlos on WhatsApp.

Eleanor Schoenmaker
Hi Carlos, well done on the race! You were so close to that win, but you will get it soon!!

She put her phone away and looked around. Sundays were days to relax. Eleanor's eyes were gliding over the caravan in front of her, her temporary home. And then to the garden. It wasn't a massive garden, but there was a lot of space behind all the flowers, bushes and weeds. The garden was the least important part of this property - it was noticeable that it wasn't taken care of for a long time. Eleanor couldn't wait for the garden project, the last project on the list.

The white iPhone buzzed. Eleanor picked up her phone from the table and looked at the notification. Carlos replied to her message. Can I open it now? Or is it too fast? Eleanor bit her lip. Just wait a few minutes.

"Shall we leave in half an hour? Then we can grab some dinner on the way to the airport," dad proposed. "McDonald's or something."

"Yes, sure, McDonald's would be perfect." Eleanor was surprised by this offer since her dad disliked the fast-food restaurant. "Will you make it on time then?"

Her dad got up. "If we don't stick around for too long, we will make it on time."

"Perfect. Do I need to help you with something?"

"Neh, I already packed." Stephan needed to leave the house for a week; he had to go back to the Netherlands for his job. "Is it weird if I say that I'm not looking forward to returning? It should feel like going home, but it's more like a feeling of needing to go home instead of wanting to go there," he breathed. "And I don't want to leave you here all alone."

"I'm an adult, dad. And it's only a week. I will survive, no worries."

"You may be an adult, but a dad always worries about his children. No matter how old they are." He looked down. "Still of all."

"We will call every night, I will update you," Eleanor warmly smiled, ignoring the comment her dad made.

"Don't bring strangers here while I'm not here," he said sternly.

"Dad!" Her face straightened, and she looked unamused at her dad.

"Okay, okay." He walked to the house. "But don't, Ellie!"

Eleanor smirked. Her dad was a bit overprotective, but every dad was overprotective at some point. She looked at her phone. Three minutes passed. Could she now reply to Carlos' text? She bit her lip and opened the message.

Carlos Sainz
¡Gracias! It was a good race. Still hoped for a different result, but it was good
