"So many colours..." Eleanor breathed when she was standing in front of the wall of colours. "Too many colours."

Carlos nodded and also looked at the colour samples. A grin grew on his face when he saw one colour in particular. "Here," he said and grabbed the card. "Try this one." He passed the card along to her.

She looked at him and smiled. "Ferrari," she read the name of the red colour. She poked his side. "I should have known that."

"It's worth a try," he winked. "It will be so bold if one wall will be this red."

"It's so red."

"But so cool, Ellis."

Soft blushes appeared on her cheeks. "You're a bad influence." She looked away, back to the colours. "Maybe I will use it in a painting or a detail, but not an entire wall."

Carlos smirked. "It was a joke."

"Oh, but it can be cool."

"Then use it."

"Only if you win, then I will use it somewhere. Then I have a reason to use it somewhere." She stepped away from Carlos and looked at more colours. Her eyes were scanning now the cooler colours.

Carlos stuck out his hand. "Deal." Eleanor shook his hand. "Next race, I will get it. I'm looking forward to the red wall. I will sign it."

No further words from Eleanor, but she shared just one look. She didn't have hope, how big were the chances that a Ferrari would win? This season was a disaster for the Italian team, and Carlos did not have that much luck. She did not have much faith, but it was a fun deal. Not that she did not grant Carlos or Charles a win, but realistically, the chances for a win were far away.

They were talking about the colours and the possible options. Eleanor showed some photos of the kitchen, couch and table to give an idea of the colour scheme.

Carlos was standing on the right of her. "And this white? It's not white-white, warmer white," he suggested and pointed at a card on her left, making him stand even closer to her. "If you go for white-white, it will be like a clinic." They both concluded that a light colour would fit the house the best, since it was a dark house.

"Yeah, more like a cream white."

"Yes."

"And make it cosier with the interior." She slowly nodded. "Let's get a few testers. I almost can't see the differences between the colours anymore."

He grabbed the last colour card. They had five colour cards now. They walked outside to see the colours in the natural light for the best results. Out of the five colours, they picked four to take back home as a tester. Back into the store, they walked back to the colour department and waited for someone to help them.

"This was my department," Eleanor said. Carlos looked questionably at her. "I used to work in a store like this. I got hired for the service desk, but I worked more in the paint department than at the service desk."

"Really? That is why you have a lot of knowledge. I was wondering already," he responded and leaned against the desk. "For how long did you work at the store?"

"Three years. Then I moved to the cinema, better work hours. Did you have a student job?"

"Helping my grandparents in their garden," he said. "I did not have much time to get a student job..."

"Oh, yes, that is right."

"And when you win in racing, you get a nice fee. A luxurious student job."

"Something for everyone."
