"Alright Brian, you're done. That's good enough." Freddie's says tiredly. They had had to do multiple takes because he kept messing up the chords. "I'm going home." He says walking out and grabbing his jacket. Just as he's about to open the door, he remembers that he got a ride there. He turned around, looked shyly at the ground and asked, "Hey... uhh... can anyone give me a ride home...?"

Before anyone can blink, Roger jumps up. "Yea! Come on Bri, I'll take you home." He was destined to know what was bothering his friend. Brian nods slowly and walks out of the door.

"Now will you tell me what's bothering you?" Roger asks as they get into the car. "Nothing's bothering me, okay Rog?" "I don't believe you." "I promise." Roger sighed and focused on the road. He decided not to push it though and kept quiet.

They finally reached Brian's house after what seemed like forever. He got out and said a quick "thanks" before Roger stopped him. "Brian, wait!" Brian stopped and turned around. "Yea, Rog?" "Oh... uh... Goodnight?" Roger stammered. Brian grinned, for the first time that day. "Was that a question or a statement?" "Uhh...yes?" Brian laughed and invited Roger inside.

Roger wanted so bad to know what was bothering his friend. They sat facing each other in silence. Brian finally broke under Roger's intense gaze. "Fine. You really wanna know what's bothering me?" he looked at his feet as Roger nodded anxiously. "Okay... well uhh... there's this person..." he trailed off. "Does this person have a name?" Roger asked slowly. Brian chewed on his lip debating on whether or not he should tell Roger his secret.

Roger. His best friend. They had been close ever since they had met that fateful day. The day Roger had brought his kit in to audition for Smile. Since that day they had told each other everything. But this...? This was different. How could he tell his best friend that he was in love with him...?
