Chapter Two

Wanda Pov

The first time Nat and I saw Y/N we knew we needed to know her better. We both remember her walking in with her loose-fitting t-shirt and her yoga pants and her Nike shoes. She looked so cute! I remember communicating with Nat in her mind about what she thought about Y/N and accidentally heard that she thought she was gorgeous too. We don't know much about her though, but I have heard her in her room right next to mine and Nat's when she's having her late-night snack which we "don't know about". I think it's adorable.

I heard her approaching me when I was in the kitchen cooking mine and Nat's lunch. I tried not to listen because I don't want to invade her privacy, but I couldn't help but overhear her thoughts about me and Nat looking "flawless". Which is not true, but it's cute she thought that. "Good afternoon Wanda!" she greeted me. "Hey Y/N, how are you today?" I asked in return. I noticed she had the stack of papers from my mission report that I "forgot" to sign. I guess I forgot because I wanted to see her again. It's always work talk with her and I just wanted to get another moment with her. After she walked away flustered, I couldn't help the smirk that was on my face with how she is with me. It's adorable honestly.

About 5 minutes later I heard Nat come in from her training for the day and she had the same look on her face that I did when Y/N walked out. "Hey, Nat. I'm assuming that look is from talking with Y/N?" I teased her. She chuckled and nodded her head in agreement. "I can't help it. She's fun to tease and I like to fluster her. How long do you think it'll take for her to realize we're interested in her?" Nat asked her partner. "I honestly don't know. She might not ever think that because you and I were together before she got here. She might just think we're messing with her." I said in return. "I hope she doesn't think that! I would never mess with someone's feelings when I knew that they were interested in us!" Nat rushed out, stressed that maybe Y/N thought that. "I know detka, why don't we plan a time to hang out with her and get to know her better? We'll see what happens after that, okay?" I said as I tried to comfort Nat.

Two days later we were all called into the meeting room in the tower. All the Avengers showed up ready to know what the next mission will be. "Alright, ladies and gentlemen we have a goody today!" Tony said as everyone was seated and listening. I rolled my eyes at him as he continued. "So, we have intel on a hydra base operating in South Africa. They're working in human trafficking and arms dealing. We need to shut it down asap. So, everyone but Wanda and Natasha, get ready to go!" Nat and I looked at each other confused as to why we weren't going. Nat was the first to speak up before anyone moved from their seats "Why are Wanda and I staying here? Are we not capable of helping Tony?" Nat snapped at the billionaire. She's not used to having to sit out missions. This is what's even more confusing about this. "Think of this as an engagement present from all of us!" Tony spoke with a bit of fear from the look Nat was giving him. After he said this, I perked up with the thought of being alone with just Nat and Y/N here in the compound. This might be a good thing.

After more information was given, we found out that this mission will be a two week mission for the team. Which I'm not sure how to feel about. It's a good thing but I will be worrying about being called in when I'm in the middle of something important here. Nat and I both decided to use this time to get to know Y/N more and maybe see about taking her on a date. Or possibly planning something here that is intimate and romantic, but not in an inappropriate way. We do respect her, so no causal sex.

This will all work out. Right?
