Y/N Pov

You slowly start to stir awake. As soon as you open your eyes the memories of last night's events flood your mind. You remember the dream or flashback you should say, very well. You lay there for a few seconds before noticing that you're alone. You swore you remembered someone with you last night. You can remember listening to someone breathing. You looked around the room and noticed that nothing was out of place. Maybe you dreamt that too.

As you lay there, you remember your childhood. Your mother was your favorite person on earth. She was the light in the dark for you. You remember all the times you had together when you were young. How you wish she could see you now. She died when you were 8 years old. She was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. She died two months after that. It's been 17 years and it still hurts as much as it did back then. Your father was an abusive drunk. He didn't know how to take care of himself let alone an 8 year old child. That's when the beatings started. You had to grow up so fast. He expected so much of you at a young age. It wasn't fair.

You were brought out of your thoughts by a knock on your door. You sat up and said "Come in" in the fakest voice you've ever had. You looked up and saw both Natasha and Wanda standing at your door with a plate of food. "We made you breakfast, I hope you like mushroom omelets!" Wanda spoke, trying to sound cheerful. You smiled at her and nodded your head. Both women walked into your room. You noticed that they were walking calmly and tried to have slow movements. Wanda handed you your plate and you thanked her. "Are you okay?" This time Natasha spoke. "I'm fine," you said while looking down at your food. You took the fork and took a bite. You looked at both women and thanked them for bringing you food. "No need to thank us. We thought it would help lift your spirits after last night. Even if it's just a little." Wanda said. You smiled at her and replied "spirits lifted" with a grin and then smiled at Natasha.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Natasha asked. You sighed. "I don't know. I don't have nightmares often. Just when I'm emotionally overwhelmed. I've been constantly moving and haven't taken the time to process anything around me." Both women nod in understanding. "I'm sorry if I woke you guys up." You said softly. "No need to apologize. We get it. We all have trauma that we deal with." Wanda said gently. She rubbed your back while you sat there. "Wait, were you guys in here last night?" You questioned. The hand rubbing up and down your back reminded you of last night. "Yeah, we came to check on you after we heard you scream. You asked us not to leave so we stayed in here with you." Natasha spoke. Your face went as red as a tomato. "Oh god, I'm so sorry. I-" You was quickly cut off by Natasha. "It's okay Y/N. You shouldn't be alone when you feel like that anyways. We didn't mind. Plus you're a great cuddler." She teased and bumped your shoulders together. You chuckled at that with still a red face.

After you finished your food. Natasha took the plate down to the kitchen, leaving you and Wanda in your room. "You know, if you're free today, you're welcome to join Nat and me in the training room. We're just going to be sparring. Maybe we can teach you some moves? You thought about it for a second, "Sure, it'll be nice to be able to know how to defend myself if I ever need to." You accepted. "If we're around, we'll always protect you." She said completely serious. You swallowed and before you had the chance to reply she spoke again. "Well, I'm going to go get dressed. Meet us in the training room in 15 minutes?" She questioned. "Yes ma'am!" you jokingly saluted. Wanda's face blushed at that and she quickly left your room. 'Weird' you thought to yourself before you got dressed.

Two hours into Natasha and Wanda teaching you how to do basic self-defense moves and you're exhausted. "Good job Y/N! Who knows, maybe you can be the next black widow!" Wanda teased you and Natasha. You laughed out loud at that. The first time you've laughed all day. Both women looked at you with such softness and it made you a little nervous. "Maybe we can get dinner again? But, I'd like to cook this time since you guys did last time if that's okay with you both?" You questioned. Both women nodded their heads with a smile. You all split ways as you went to clean up and figure out what you were going to make.
