10: Taking Back What Was Hers

Kiritos P.O.V

*still in Asuna's flashback*

I remember when I first met Serenity. She seemed almost to perfect. Well, personality wise. Her sword skills were pretty average. But I wouldn't consider dating her.

*flashback within flashback*

"Kraaaaa!"

I thrusted my sword into the monsters chest, and it bursted into an abundance of a multitude of pixels.

As of now, I was in a field on Floor 9. I decided to solo this game on floor 1, maybe a month into the game. I am glad I did though.

"Hzaaa!" I heard a yell to my right. I turned to see another play fighting a monster.

As a solo player, I would normally just watcj others from a distance, but this person... Was not very good at fighting. They could manage to get by, but their skills were lacking. I could easily tell this was a woman fighting though, not just because of the lousy fighting skills, but because of her long blond hair that was tied into a pony tail. A normal person would give her tips, but being solo me and I'm not normal. That obvious though.

She finally finished off the monster, put her sword away, and turned to me.

"You need something stalker?" She asked.

Stalker?!

I blushed, and frowned. I waved my hand in defense.

"I wasn't stalking you!"

She laughed. "As if! Its official! I have a stalker!" She yelled playfully.

She seems nice, but neive.

"Oh well, my name is Serenity by the way. What's your name?" She asked. She made her way towards me. She got to close for comfort, so I slowly stepped back.

"Well, I'm Kirito." I said, trying to make a smile. Its been a while since I've done that.

We basically spent the rest of the day clearing the field, and getting to know each other. It was really weird, she forced me to come out of my comfort zone, but I wanted back into it so badly.

"How about we form a party?" She asked me.

We walked back to town, and were now having dinner at a town Inn.

I scratched my head. "Well you see..."

"Oh whatever, we've only just met. That's fine though, but you could at least friend me." She said with a smile.

"Ok..."

*flashback within flash back over*

I kept in contact with her, but one day I got a message from her. She confessed that she loved me, but I had no feelings for her. I had to tell her, so I did soon after. I regret that.

She became a player killer. I don't know if it was my fault still. She soon unfriended me, and I never saw her again.

Until today.

Asuna's POV

"Don't you remember all of the fun times we've had Kirito?"

Serenity paced around Kirito, and I think I knew what she was about to do.

Don't hurt Kirito...

"Can't you speak?" She kicked Kirito with her foot, so he was on his back.

"I remember them clearly..." Kirito grunted.
