Ok so I'm back with possibly a weird realization about the apple. This has nothing to do with the actual theory we are currently focusing on so you can skip it if you want. I mean it may have something to do we just won't really touch on it
This might turn out gay so hold on
Ok so we know it was a hint just for Sherlock. Just between them.
Why do we know this?
He completely hid the apple from John
"Did he write anything down"
And Sherlock ignores that question
Sherlock accidentally says iou outloud and says he was talking to himself when molly asks
Now why would jim do that.
Well if we remember the assassins had already put bugs in the house. So jim was trying to convey something without anyone noticing it was a big deal except Sherlock. That explains the stare at the end. The eye contact. Trying to imply this was a big deal without directly saying it. Apparently Sherlock wasn't understanding however. Because Jim graffitied it on a wall. Sprayed it on some windows too. Its at the windows where Sherlock realises I think.
So basically Sherlock hides this from John so it must be a big deal right?
And then Sherlock thinks he's got it. He thinks he understands. He assumes it's an acronym.
"I've got you"
But the way he says it.
Maybe he was right maybe he wasn't
But the way he said it was wrong.
I mean obviously it was. You saw how jim reacted
But what he said next was right.
You can just tell. Because suddenly jim has broken character.
Cause that's all moriarty really is isn't he? A character like Jim from IT or Richard brook. Because he does break character. He's playing a psychopath.
We never really did know anything about Jim did we. The only time we ever saw his actual reaction to anything was when Sherlock said he wasn't his brother. During the handshake
The unfortunate part it that this is one of the many times Sherlock was in character. He was lying to get what he wanted. Which was to live. And jim definitely noticed. I mean you can tell exactly when he's back to being moriarty
There is no real emotion anymore. He almost fell for the lies
And then he killed himself(possibly maybe idk)

General FictionUh because I'm bored and I keep annoying people with them so I figured I'd write a book to compile thoughts so I can just send people a link.
