Me, Asher and Nolan quickly ducked behind an isle already completely destroyed and empty as more loud bangs, crashes and screams could be heard all around us. Shards of glass, can and packages littered the floor- many damaged and spilling onto the ground- whilst stuff was still being hurled and chucked across the place. Quickly and cautiously peering around the isle, I saw five intimidating men all standing near the registers all dressed head to toe in black, all holding up blank firing riffles and destroying the place whilst stealing  as much money as they could.
"Alright, we don't have long until the police or the Umbrella Academy arrives, so we need to do this quick!" I instructed the boys, slightly yelling over the panic of people desperately trying to exit the store.

"Nolan, I need you to go around the store and check for anyone injured or dead- we need to make sure everyone is safe. Asher you need to disarm the men before any of us can get close- if they see us they will shoot."
"What about you sis?!" Nolan shouted at me just as another array of bullets were once again fired.
"I'll try and weaken them- use there advantages against them. Asher, you've gotten come with me. Make sure you guys are safe!" I ordered my brothers before Nolan quickly rushed towards the commotion of people, desperately trying to find any in pain or hurt.
"Ash, you go left, and I'll head right." I spoke loudly over the noice as he nodded before sneaking down the next isle. I nervously made my way over to the front- hiding behind isles in order to stay hidden and undetected- before I was about ten feet away from the men, before I used my ability to throw a handful of cans straight towards them, hitting them in the face and chest.

I then managed to forcefully move a single isle straight towards the men- who were subliminally confused about what had happened with the cans- and managed to knock them all over and be thrown towards the wall. As they fell to the floor and grunted in slight bewilderment and pain, I then was able to get a fire extinguisher propped up against the wall, to which I sprayed at the men as they got up and proceeded to throw it at them, managing to knock one out. After they stopped shielding there eyes from the chemicals I sprayed at them, I noticed Asher approaching the men, before cackling flames of blazing fire suddenly appeared in his hands, of which he immediately attacked the men with, their charcoal black clothing quickly aflame. While they each desperately tried to get rid of the conflagration adorning there clothes and screaming in pain as there skin was slowly burned, I used my Telekinesis to throw them across the room, smashing them into a window that was somehow still in place and not damaged. The brute force was enough for the men to drop their guns mid-throw for Asher to quickly grab them and chuck them down a random isle, out of reach of the men.

"Go and check Nolan's okay, I'll handle them." Asher ordered me as I nodded before sprinting to the other end of the store where I saw Nolan kneeled down on the floor by a woman who seemed to be unconscious and bleeding profusely from a bully wound near her lower abdomen. He placed his hands above her, just before a gleam of golden yellow light seemed to enveloped the woman's body and her wound soon started to patch itself up and heal.
"Is everything okay Nolan- Asher wanted me to check up on you." I asked him just as the woman's chest began to slowly sink and rise, signalling that she was breathing.
"Yeah, I'm okay. Other than this woman, an elderly man and a young boy, no one else was killed. The rest managed to escape." He answered me as I gave him a sympathetic smile, knowing just how scary it was for him sometimes. Even though Nolan's ability abled him to resurrect people, the graphic conditions that the bodies were left in was enough to traumatise anyone. Often it was a struggle for him.

"Don't worry sis. I'm alright, honest. I've got it covered over here so you should probably help Asher." He replied with a small smile as I gave him a quick hug before heading back down to the store, realising that the men had gotten up and were wielding sharp knives. They had noticed Asher and were beginning to attack him, when suddenly I reached out my hand (used my Telekinesis) and started to lift up the men into the air by their throats and vigorously started choking them. Almost at once they dropped their weapons and desperately tried to move, or do anything they could to break free as to whatever the hell was happening to them all. But they couldn't budge an inch. Asher then grabbed the knives from the floor, and brutally throw them towards the mens chest, slicing through not only the leather fabric of there clothes, bust straight through there chests, causing sticky red blood to splat everywhere. At once I dropped the men, and they slumped to the floor as a few chocked on their own blood, and the rest staying completely limp. I hadn't even realised I was breathing heavily and shaking before I was able to finally calm myself down.

The three of us hadn't ever killed a real person- let alone five- and I felt a little nauseous at the sight of the men laying dead across the floor, there bodies covered in gashes, scratches and large bruise's, as well as blood seeping into the floor. I had never inflicted violence on another human being, and after I had I felt a little nauseous when it all hit me. I mean yes, they were bad people, but I had partly been the cause in ending there lives. Lives that had been full of memories, emotions and life. And now it was stolen from them.

"Hey, Maeve- are you okay?" Asher questioned me in a soft tone as he approached, blood staining his jacket.
"Yeah...I'm fine...just in shock I suppose..." I mumbled whilst my eyes were glued to the men.
"I know you're scared, but this is what Father trained us for. We're no longer in the training room. This is real life now." He said as he gently lifted up my chin to look at him. " I promise it'll get better. You just have to get used to it."
Just as Asher spoke, Nolan headed over to us and saw the men laying across the floor.
"Holy shit..." he commented in shock whilst inspecting them. "What the hell did you two get up to?"
Suddenly, the sound of police sirens could be heard approaching the store, and immediately that was our cue to make our way outside and finally into the view of the public eye. Already a huge crowd had been forming around the market- due to the loud commotion of screams, crashes and gunshots just minutes before- with people all aiming there phones towards the wreckage and of us, some even snapping photos of me and my brothers.

There were news interviews addressing the viewers about what was happening, and a couple trying to barge through the thunderous, booming crowd, desperate to ask questions and seek answers. Police were able to barricade the area with yellow tape and hurried through the building with there guns drawn to arrest the five men in black. It was then when I looked back at the crowd of people either holding up there phones, talking into mics, or snapping photo after photo of the crime scene, that I noticed Father emerging from the mob of citizens with a proud smile on his face. "We'll done my children. I'm so proud of you. I think it's safe to say this mission was a success." Father spoke as he looked down at us before standing confidently behind us, almost as if he were presenting us towards the people.
"To the public of this grand city, my name is Dr Anthony Johannes, and I am proud to present my gifted children who helped provide safety during a maniac shooting." Father explained loudly towards the crowd before he was bombarded with question after question from the news presenters.

"Is it true your children helped protect hundreds of vulnerable people from a monstrous shooting gone wrong?..."

"How is it that they have these unique abilities just like the famous Umbrella Academy?..."

"Why is it they the public only know if these children now?..."

"Dr Johannes, do you plan on using these children as a bigger force than the Umbrella Academy?..."

"What sort of strange abilities do they hold and how is it that your children came to access them?..."

"Have the psycho shooters finally been detained?..."

After a good long while of questions and the police carrying out the bodies of the men, I looked up towards just one of the colossal buildings in the
city- shielding my eyes slightly due to the sunlight- and noticed seven teenagers all dressed in immaculate uniforms all looking straight down at the carnage below. Strangely enough there Father wasn't with them, but I knew all too well that there was a valid reason for that. But all that mattered right now, was that they were too late to come and save the day for the city. And not a single citizen cared that they weren't here, because they were too busy to find out all they could about my family. And we had stolen the Umbrella Academy's spotlight. We had ended the havoc that threatened to pollute our city, and I knew all to well that this wouldn't be the last time my family made an appearance to the public eye.
