"So Mr. Akira, I have heard of your current issues and the crisis that you are facing." Randy said, lowering his head. "Which I am deeply saddened by, and with that aside, my team and I have decided to resign from your day to-day job on your behalf." He said before being quickly silenced by Akira, who says, "Now you see, that wasn't up to you, was it?" He commented as he blasted out of his chair.
"N-Now, calm down, Mr. I'll explain. "
"There's nothing to explain here, alright? Oh, I see what you're doing here; you think it'll magically save me from them, don't you? Next time you need me, make sure you have a valid point in mind, or else, I will be nothing but an obstacle and not any type of help. " Akira argued, considering it was the only thing going well for him, and with not much time to wait, he tries to exit the room. In which he failed in as he was stopped by armed guards and the door, which was also locked.
"Sit back down, young man, there's no need for the commotion, and as I was saying. It is because we're offering you another job, which may suit you more and will help you outside of it too." Randy says, as he points at the stack of money on the table.
"Nothing too complicated for you either; it is merely a protection mission, if you may call it, happening right downtown ." So you boys are out for some new experiences where your lives may also be on the line, but that aside, I'm sure it's also a learning experience. The details are clear: Ms. Olivia is celebrating her partnership with Hayashi Corps. Keep an eye on her surroundings, but have your own fun too. Basically, just blend in, though I would've preferred it if we had discussed this earlier, as it is tomorrow night. " Randy explained clearly as the two are visibly out of focus.
"Looking forward to working with you again, Akira." He pointed his hand out, though Akira nodded his head and walked out, placing his headphones in his ears and playing his music. Though Yuki had stayed back, which wasn't important enough to pay attention to, "I truly apologize executive, but I am not able to go tomorrow. I have something urgent back home and really can't miss out on it." "He said as anxiety and guilt were painted all across his face. "No Yuki, I've let it happen countless times, but not this time. Our whole goddamn agency is on the line, you understand me?" Randy shouted as he slammed his fist on the table, which Yuki nods his head to, and slams the door behind him as he walks out.
Meanwhile, back in the café..
Sage awaits her order as she organizes the paperwork on her table, with Diana sitting right across from her. "Here's your order. Do you need anything else?" Kiyo asked. "No, they were all good, thank you, but just a question if you don't mind." Sage said with a smile, as she gestured for him to get closer.
"What was up with you a couple of days ago?" Sage whispered as she questioned him discreetly.
"Oh about that, just a bad work day, that's all."
"And what about the sweat across your face? Or the blood on the rear side of your neck? Doesn't seem like something you'd do usually. Am I not right? "
"Ah well, you know, a friend just needed help with his grill party and I might've scratched my back while cutting up the food. You know, nothing serious." He answered, with clear signs of anxiety, like the slow rowing back and forth. "What's wrong?" she asks, noticing his stress was getting more visible by the second. Sage was quite a focused person. She would notice any sudden change, whether it was in their body language or their difference in energy, though this was not the case for Akira. Which led her to having that reaction when meeting him. There was nothing to notice. There was no change in energy. Even when his tone would change, or his words would seem meaningful or nice, there was only one feeling that he showed. A feeling similar to a man with no hope, or a man who's seen it all. There was nothing to lose. But that was not enough for Sage. Her ego had led her to try and research the man anyway, but it led to nothing. Up until the Upper-ward incident, though it wasn't much of a shocker if it was looked at from the surface only, she knew there was way more left to uncover.
