Chrissy bit her lip. Paranoid- she kept looking behind her as she walked quickly to where she was supposed to meet Eddie. She felt like she was going crazy. How could she even explain anything that was going on with her- he would think she was crazy. She quickened her pace, her blonde hair bouncing like a spring in her ponytail. "Eddie?" She called nervously. "Hello?" She called out again.
This wasn't the first time she had met Eddie for something like this. They'd actually been hanging out quite a bit. She always felt safe and happy around him. He was funny and always made her laugh. That's what she liked so much about him. He was genuine and kind.Eddie was just strolling through the woods, heading to the meeting spot to meet Chrissy. He was just licking the leaves, he doubted she would actually be there so he took his time. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and looked around. He noticed Chrissy standing around in there spot, he was fairly surprised! He quickly hid behind a tree, hoping to she didn't notice him. A smile crawled onto his face.
Chrissy seemed like she was in a panic. She looked around after she heard the twig snap. "I swear Eddie, if that's you..." She called out. She was getting kind of scared, considering the nightmares she'd been having the past few days. But anytime she explained them she was blown off, told it was due to stress. But she couldn't help but feel like she was going to die. Like something was out to get her. "Eddie?" The blonde girl called again. This time she definitely seemed scared- terrified even.
Eddie heard Chrissys last call and decide scaring her would be a bad decision. He didn't want his friend to be more terrified than she already sounded. So he slowly stepped out from behind the tree and said "Dang! You caught me!". He put his arms up in defeat, then gave Chrissy a bright smile; hopefully to lighten the mood.
Chrissy jumped slightly before signing in utter relief. You could physically see that she had relaxed, from her being so tense in fear. "Eddie.." She said, a soft laugh leaving her lips and a grin appearing on her face. "You almost scared me to death!" She spoke, shaking her head gently as she walked over to him, playfully punching his shoulder.
"Ouch!"
Eddie over dramaticly fell onto the crushchy leaves behind him, letting out a small chuckle. Hoping that Chrissy would laugh again. He loved seeing her laugh; it was just soooo carefree and special!Chrissy laughed gently and shook her head. "Your so stupid Eddie." She spoke in a playful tone, extending a hand out to him to help him up. She appreciated the fact that he always found a way to make her laugh. She often needed it, especially because of the way her mom was. She had opened up to Eddie a few times about her eating disorder her mother caused her to have. "A good stupid though." She said with a grin.
"Thank you," he answered grabbing Chrissys hand and stood up. "I always aim to be stupid!" Eddie finished. Then his face suddenly turned red, realizing what he just said. "I mean the GOOD stupid!" He corrected himself, leaning up against a tree next to him to try to look cool. He failed miserably. "At least it makes you happy." He finally said, smiling.
Chrissy laughed softly. "You're cute." She said with a smile, turning to sit down at the picnic table that was there in the little clearing. "I need a big favor from you Eddie." She spoke, her face returning back serious.
Eddie turned a deeper shade of red with Chrissys comment. He quickly shook his head and followed her to the table. Of course, he sat on the table itself, not the chair part. He gotta be classic Eddie!
"Whats the favour? Is everything alright?" He asked responding to Chrissy, he became serious now. He would do anything to make sure Chrissy is safe.Chrissy hesitated for a moment. If she told him would he believe her or just think she was plain crazy? Probably the latter of the two. She was dead quiet for a minute before she spoke up, scratching the top of the table with her nail. "I've been having these nightmares...They've been scaring the shit out of me Eddie- I even have them during the day." She said, her voice getting a little shaky as she explained. "They're about my mom. But they freak me out. These aren't normal nightmares Eddie." She said, hanging her head.
"Nightmares? During the day?" Eddie questioned, he started to get worried as Chrissys voice started shaking. He moved to her side effects the table to be closer to her. To show he cared for her. "Explain them, I will try my best to help." He said placing a gentle hand on her shoulder to comfort her.
Chrissy took a deep breath. "My mom is always in them. Only it's not really her, it feels like something else. Something...something worse than her. And when she turns to look at me.." She paused, taking a sharp shaky breath. She squeezed her eyes shut and hung her head. She didn't want Eddie to see how scared she was. "She's like dead or something... There's this clock... And there's a voice. An evil voice eddie... Like a demon or something." She said, her hands starting to shake. "I saw him."
