The first time Luke kissed me I felt like I was on the top of the world. We were at a beach party with a bunch of friends and we ditched the party to take a walk down the beach. On that walk we talked about everything from music to Michael's new hair color. When the sun started setting I saw a perfect picture opportunity, so we stopped to take a photo of the sunset. When I finished taking the picture I turned around to face Luke and he was looking at me.
*Flashback*
"What?" I ask, giving him a small smile.
"You just look absolutely adorable while you're concentrating, that's all," he says, looking down.
"Are you embarrassed?" I ask, not believing that I just made Luke Hemmings embarrassed.
"What? No! What are you talking about?" He says nervously.
"You know, you're cute when you're nervous," I say, teasing him.
"You know, you're cute ALL the time," Luke says, as he cracks a smile.
"Thank you," I say quietly.
"Now looks who's the one who's embarrassed!" Luke says excitedly.
"That wasn't fair!" I yell.
He starts chasing me down the beach and I scream and run as fast as I can. Of course, he's faster than me and catches me eventually and we both collapse into the sand, tired from all the running. I look up at him and he's already staring at me, with the slightest smile on his face. He leans towards me and I don't stop him. Soon enough, his lips are on mine and I'm melting into the kiss. This feeling that I've never felt before rushes through me, like a surge of electricity.
*End of Flashback*
As Luke puts his lips on mine during the meet and greet, it all seems familiar. I was used to this, used to us. It felt so good to finally be back in his arms after so long.
But wait. I remember how he cheated on me and immediately pulled myself away.
"I can't do that Luke! You can't do that! You cheated on me, and I'm supposed to be moving on, not making out with you!" I say, completely flustered.
I'm supposed to be moving on. This wasn't supposed to happen.
"Oh, c'mon don't tell me you didn't want to kiss me," he says.
"You know I did, I really did. Because it felt familiar and safe. But then I remembered what you did. A kiss certainly doesn't make up for it, Luke," I say to him.
I start to walk out of the meet and greet room and grab Lauren's arm along the way.
"We need to go," I say sternly.
"Wait, I need to say goodbye to Calum," she says, pulling away from me.
I have a feeling she really likes Calum. I can't take her away from him tonight, that would make me an awful friend.
I go back into the room and tell Lauren that we can stay.
"Are you sure? It's your birthday and this has been a really sucky night for you, we can go home if you want," Lauren tells me.
"No, no, no, I'm fine, please don't worry about me. I want you to have fun, too," I say to her.
I end up hanging with Michael for the rest of the night because I missed him and he made my night really fun. We sat on the couch talking to a bunch of fans and we were laughing and talking. Most of the fans were really nice too. Luke thankfully kept his distance and that made me feel a lot better. Before I knew it, it was time to go home.
When I got home, I went straight to bed, completely exhausted from tonight. Little did I know I had a big storm coming for me tomorrow.
...........................
