"ƒαмιℓу? ωнαт'ѕ тнαт?"
Of course this question was meant more as a joke. Everyone knew what 'family' was and what 'family' was referring to. However, perhaps it was the deeper meaning that really got to people. Some, never even knew what 'family' was or what 'family' felt like. Has one ever thought of that?
No, they haven't. But, it never was a big deal anyway, at least, to those that it didn't affect as deeply. However, when it comes to those who are orphans... to those who never seen a blood-line family member... to those like Harry Potter and Batman... Even Dick Grayson and Ashtynn Raelin CRobin. 'Family. What's that?'

Her mind was filled with thoughts as she daydreamed like she usual did at the hour, staring out the window at the rainy skies. The atmosphere was crying pretty heavily, and at the moment, nobody could go out there for two seconds and not get drenched. That... wasn't even an exaggeration as Kid Flash returned from a daredevil move.
"Ugh, man. The water got my clothes all wet!"
The remark was met with a laugh, an incredibly familiar one to every single person in the base - but, it meant the most to only one.
"Dude, I told you not to go out there."
The cute chuckled that followed was met with another saddened statement as the two bickered and chattered among themselves, with no mistake that it was the only source of noise throughout the spacious hideout as most members were either busying themselves, or napping.
Batman, or anybody from the league for that matter, had decided very unusually that the Junior League was to take a break today. It was just to wet outside to really do anything, so here they were... bored and trapped with absolutely nothing to do. Well, not really, one could laugh at Kid Flash if they wished.
"Hey, babe! What you daydreaming about today? Possibly about a certain someone here?"
Ashtynn was surprised when she was snapped from her thoughts, her eyes hitting the freckles and bright, humorous, flirty eyes of her fellow member. He was sitting and close enough that there was about half an inch between their noses, implying himself of course to be the man of her daydreaming.
However, he was far from it, the girl shaking her head 'no' in rejection. "Sorry, Wally," came the reply as she gently poked the nose of the red-head, causing him to lose his balance and fall down from his position of himself sitting on the desk. A humorous thump extracts a small chuckle from the female that is joined by the familiar one.
"Hey, Ashtynn. I would ask if you were bored, but I guess not. Just annoyed, right?"
His humorous, light, boyish tone couldn't help but make the female smile and nod in return, sending a quick, playful side glare to her friend. She was indeed annoyed, but in a different way than one would think. Well... okay, she did get annoyed of Kid Flash's constant attention to her and all other females, but...
It was the fact that her secret of liking - 'like liking' - Robin would somehow get out. But, she highly doubted it. After all, only her and her best friend, Artemis knows, right? She surely hoped so, looking over at Robin with a shy smile. It was instantly returned, his friendly smile some would describe as 'perfect'.
Hearing a grumble to the side, she watched as the freckled man sat up, rubbing his head a little with one eye closed. However, he almost immediately recovered, showing his Colgate smile and holding a thumbs-up to his friend beside her. This almost made poor Ashtynn sigh. But, she liked Kid Flash.... after all, Artemis liked - 'like liked' - him. More like a denial thing, though.

Shouting could be heard from the kitchen about an hour later, all the previous characters having returned to their rooms. Robin was bored. He wasn't always this bored, but having tossed a tennis ball in the air as he faced his bland ceiling made him tired. He needed to be 'turbed', sighing a little as he sat up at the edge of his bed.
